Winnie takes PPE very seriously.

Our favourite four-legged team member was spotted making sure health and safety standards were fully upheld, mask firmly in place and tail on standby. Clearly, infection control is everyone’s responsibility at Combe Hay.

She may still be in training, but Winnie is already proving she takes her role very seriously… even if she is wearing the PPE upside down.

Last week our residents got creative ahead of Valentine’s Day by making some beautiful flower arrangements.

Choosing colours, arranging flowers and sharing ideas made for a relaxed and enjoyable activity, with plenty of conversation and laughter along the way. The finished arrangements added a lovely splash of colour and a little Valentine’s cheer to the home.

Our residents have been getting creative at our Knit and Natter group.

Mrs Durham had a go at using a knitting machine and made a lovely hat, which she then kindly modelled for everyone to see. There were plenty of smiles, encouragement and admiration from the group, making it a really enjoyable session for all involved.

Activities like this are a wonderful way to learn new skills, build confidence and enjoy time together.
