The Bow
He walks ahead where silence leads,
On measured steps through grief and air,
A quiet guide in somber black,
With steady hands and practiced care.
Before the door of polished wood,
Before the earth receives its own,
He pauses in the hush of hearts
And bends — a reverent bow alone.
Not just for one who journeys on,
But for the love that lingers near,
For trembling hands and tear-worn eyes,
For every unspoken word and tear.
His bow is small, yet heavy, deep —
A bridge between the now and then,
A gesture stitched with dignity
For those who part, and those who mend.
He walks, he bows, he steps aside,
Where sorrow’s tide begins to flow —
And in that simple lowering
He lets the quiet honor show.
