Our memory stars and memory tree tags are in branch. Please come in and collect one. We are here for you this christmas even if its just for a chat our door is always open.

We also have our coffee and open morning coming up to which you are all warmly welcomed to join, on Tuesday 9th December 2025 09:30-12:00 this is a chance for you to come and meet the team, talk about your loved ones and feel safe in knowing what ever is said will be listened to and heard by as many or as little as you would like it to be.

Tuesday 9th December 2025 09:30-12:00 we would like to welcome you for coffee,tea, or even hot chocolate, with a mince pie or something sweet. Come in and have a chat, talk about your loved ones, hang a star on our memorial tree.

Our Branch Manager & Funeral Director Adam along with Senior Funeral Support Operative Nigel will be hear to warmly welcome you along with a few other members of our dedicated team.

Whether you have used our service before or not your all more than welcome to come along to spread some Christmas cheer to one and all. This is also an opportunity to meet our team maybe ask questions about our roles within the industry.

All our fleet will also be avaliable to look at to giving you a full insight into our very privileged roles of looking after you and your family should you ever need our service.

Dave

David joined Falsgrave Funeral service in July 2016 as a bearer but over the years of been with the company become more and more involved in all aspects of the business.

When we asked Dave what he enjoyed doing in his spare time, he told us, he quite enjoys walking, golf, reading,writing, music in particular jazz. And then surprised us with a hidden talent of playing the piano to a modest level.

As a southerner (in his own words) he is a long term supporter of Southampton Football Club, his favourite player of all time been Matt Le Tissier.

We asked Dave about what he enjoyed as a meal, he told us, im a lover of all cuisines from Chinese, Italian and even an Indian, however Dave enjoys nothing more than cooking at home and the traditional roast will never be far off the menu.

In his own words Daves main claim to fame is having written a book which he self published in 2023, in addition he has developed his own blogspot which is read globally, he has written for many magazines and auction catalogues and is a recognised specialist in his area of the Antique Arms and Armour market.

David is such a calm and caring person to be arround and it is a pleasure to have him on our team.

We also have donations from local Scarborough Businesses and members of the community of chocolate and selection boxes that we are going to donate to the children's ward in Scarborough Hospital this Christmas as well care homes and hospices, spreading Christmas cheer for all. If you would like to donate anything this would be a greatly appreciated and certainly bring a smile to those who recieve it.

Sara (fso)

Sara joined our team 3 month ago along side her job in care and is an asset to our team.
She is so kind and compassionate and always willing to take on any job given to her.

Sara mainly helps out in the mortuary, on the oncall rota and is a member of our bareing team.

During her interview Adam our funeral director saw enthusiasm and willingness to learn the role quickly and its safe to say Sara hasnt failed to deliver her promise to commit her time to us here at Falsgrave.

When we asked Sara why she wanted to join our team, she told us that ever since losing her nana 💔 she had always wanted to be part of the funeral service to give back care and compassion to those who need it at there hour of need.

When Sara isn't at work she enjoys been with her family and exploring the outdoors and all it has to offer, along with cooking and camping
She said dont ask about food drink, anything alcoholic, of course when not on call.

It is an absolute pleasure to work along side Sara and she is a massive asset to the falsgrave team

At 11 am this morning we will fall silent as we and people before us have done for decades. We gather to remember. To remember those who served, those who were wounded, and those who were killed, in the two world wars, in conflicts since, and in conflicts still being fought today.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.
