In an incredible show of support for the RNLI, Adam is swimming the River Trent to raise funds for this lifesaving charity. His dedication to helping others doesn’t stop at his day job; now he's braving the water to make a difference!

This morning on my way into work I decided to set off early and walk along the top of the cliffs, over looking Scarborough. A lady stopped me and asked would I mind been present to help her say a fondfarewell to her Husband who's wishes where to have his ashes scattered overlooking the bay.

It was an absolute privilege, we shared in a poem as she said good bye for now but not forever.

Miss me but let me go.

When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set on me,

I want no rites in a gloom filled room, why cry for a soul set free.
Miss me a little, but not for long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that once we shared
Miss me, but let me go.

For this is a journey we all must take
And each must go alone.
It’s all part of the master plan
A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick at heart
Go to the friends we know.
Laugh at all the things we used to do
Miss me, but let me go.
