Staff at Cambridge Avenue are taking part in the 100 miles of hope campaign for 2026!

More than 30 people have already signed up for our 100 Miles of Hope challenge in 2026 - but are you one of them?
It’s been amazing to see so many people get involved - thank you for the fantastic support.
If you haven’t joined yet, there’s still plenty of time. There’s no deadline to sign up and you can start whenever suits you, but why not take advantage of the early weeks of the year to get some miles under your belt?

The challenge is open to everyone, and is completely flexible:
πŸ‘Ÿ You can walk at your own pace
πŸ“… As often (or as little) as you like
🎯 Work towards a shared goal of 100 miles

Throughout the year we’ll also be hosting friendly group walks which will be a great chance to connect with others, share experiences, and support one another along the way.
The cost to take part in the challenge is Β£10, which will help us continue to support families affected by cancer.
Join us, get moving, and don’t miss the chance to clock up some early miles - every step counts!

We love seeing our community come together.
Whether it’s catching up at a support group, enjoying a cuppa and a cake (like grandma Betty here, at one of our monthly coffee mornings), or delivering a meal to someone going through treatment - these sorts of moments remind us why we do what we do.
It should also, hopefully, let you know that you are not alone.
If you’d like to join in any of our group activities, or find out more about what we offer, send us a message or pop in to Hope House.

New NHS data shows a rise in winter virus cases – including flu – in hospitals last week. Flu can be serious, especially for those at higher risk.

Flu vaccines don’t stop everyone from catching flu, but they do reduce the risk of becoming seriously unwell, needing hospital care or developing complications – especially for older adults and those with health conditions.

Over 18.6 million flu vaccines have been given this season. If you’re eligible and haven’t had yours yet, it’s not too late to get protected.
