Mother’s Day can bring many different emotions.
For some, it is a day of joy, love, and celebration. For others, it may carry grief, longing, complicated memories, or quiet reflection. Some are mothers, some are hoping to become mothers, some have lost children, some have lost their mums, and some carry wounds connected to motherhood that others may never see.
However today feels for you, your feelings are valid.
Motherhood is often spoken about as something that should feel natural and joyful all the time, but the reality is far more complex. It can bring exhaustion, pressure, guilt, identity changes, loneliness, and moments of doubt alongside love and pride.
If today feels heavy, please remember you are not alone. It is okay to feel what you feel. It is okay to take space, set boundaries, or care for yourself in whatever way you need.
And if today is a happy one for you, we hope it is filled with warmth, appreciation, and small moments of kindness.
To every mother, mother figure, grieving mother, expectant mother, and anyone navigating their own relationship with motherhood today, we see you.
Take care of yourself today. You matter too.
