We are delighted to be supporting the restoration of Maid Of The Loch - Loch Lomond Steamship Company. Jotun UK & Ireland will be supplying the coatings to protect and bring her back to her former glory.

The Maid is the last paddle steamer to have been built in Britain and was launched onto Loch Lomond on the 5th March 1953. Built in the Clyde shipyard of A&J Inglis, she was then dismantled and transported by rail to Balloch where she was bolted back together for her life on the loch. A so called ‘Up an Doon’ vessel, as she has been built twice.

Our tank coating experts will be attending The Tank Storage Association Conference & Exhibition on the 22nd September at the Coventry Building Society Arena in Coventry. We will be showcasing our latest Tank Fast coating solutions to get tanks back in service faster after maintenance and to stay in use for longer. Find out more on Stand 9 at the event. The event program runs from 08.30 to 16.05 and the team look forward to seeing you there.

Join Lindsey Lodge Hospice for their Big Birthday Bash as they celebrate 30 years!

Lindsey Lodge has been providing specialist end of life care and support to local patients and their families since opening in 1992. They are celebrating this huge milestone this summer with a family friendly festival on Saturday 18th June 2022.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice 30th Birthday Superdraw!

Their last Superdraw alone raised over £30,000 for Lindsey Lodge, taking the total raised by their Superdraws to a staggering £159,000!

By purchasing and selling their tickets, it is directly supporting a vital service that makes a different to local patients and their families.

Tickets can be purchased for just £1 each and every penny raised through their Superdraw will go directly to patient care.

Today we are celebrating here at Jotun UK & Ireland. The four Jotun values – 𝙇𝙤𝙮𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙮, 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚, 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩 & 𝘽𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 are not only the building blocks of our Penguin Spirit, but also of our commitment to challenging inequality, calling out bias and questioning stereotypes.
Together we can make a difference.

We had an inspirational chat earlier with Lisa Campbell, our UK Marine Area Sales Representative here at Jotun. She shares what motivates her to be successful and gives advice to other women working in a male dominated industry.

Women supporting me has had a huge impact on my career. I have been fortunate to have been given some fantastic opportunities by women who have took the time to mentor and train me. Without that my career may have taken a very different path. Hopefully I can re-pay that kindness in the future and help pass on my knowledge and experience to help other women achieve their goals.

Since having my daughter I want to set an example to her that anything is possible. I hope that seeing me working hard and financially providing for our family will inspire her to dream big and know that when you put your mind to something, anything is achievable.

Be confident and never give up! It may be intimidating to work in a male dominated industry but push that glass ceiling and go for it. The world is changing and there are opportunities out there for women to be successful in whatever sector/Industry they want to work in.

In May 2019, Sailing Barge Growler was the lucky winner of our Restoration Sponsorship competition. Since then, Ash has lovingly rebuilt her using traditional techniques, and she's starting to look like a she once did in her hey day! An incredible achievement for someone who only finished school in 2019!

Ash is now busy varnishing using 𝗝𝗼𝘁𝘂𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗸𝗸. Ravilakk is a high gloss, quick drying, tung oil based varnish which is hugely popular within the marine industry, with both professional and DIY users. The tung oil gives the product its traditional feel and smell, whilst modern additives such as UV inhibitors give it the performance that you'd expect from a Jotun product.
