Kapil Care Homes is a family run group of care homes originally started by Dr. Gyan Kapil and his wife Pam in 1983. Their son Sunil Kapil is now Managing Director of the group and they have been joined by Kirsty Sutton who was apointed as a director in 2010.

They say the kitchen is the heart of the home and, for 25 years, Kay has been at the heart of ours at Ascot House. ❤️

Celebrating a silver anniversary is no small feat! Kay is a huge part of the family here, and we asked her what keeps her smiling after two and a half decades. She said:

“The best part of my job is meeting new residents and preparing meals for them as they settle in. You get to know so many different people of all ages. The support from management and being part of such a good team really makes a difference.”

Thank you, Kay, for everything you do. We (and our residents!) are so lucky to have you and your fabulous cooking. Here’s to many more years! 🥂✨

A wonderful weekend at Balmoral House, where our residents gathered for a Valentine’s themed coffee morning. ❤️ Between biscuit decorating and sweet treats from our chef, Lorna, there was lots to enjoy.

Earlier in the week residents also helped Sandra organise the raffle. These shared moments really help bring everyone together.

It was a lovely Valentine’s celebration for our residents at Carisbrooke Manor.

Russell Weaver provided the entertainment. He sang a whole range of familiar songs that went down a storm with plenty of singing along. The afternoon continued with a buffet-style tea, themed games, and conversations full of fond memories of loved ones.

This week we took time to celebrate two very special milestones, recognising the people who help make our homes what they are.

Mandy from Balmoral House marked an incredible 40 years with us. We also celebrated Cheryl from Ascot House, who has reached 20 years with us.

Their dedication, care and commitment mean so much to everyone who lives and works across our homes. Both have played a huge part in shaping the warm, supportive environments our residents value so highly, making a huge difference to so many people.

Last week, we were absolutely delighted to welcome the wonderful singer Jules to Carisbrooke Manor! The atmosphere was buzzing as Jules treated our residents to a fantastic performance, filling the room with joy and music.

The best part? Jules and our amazing staff even joined the residents for a dance. There were smiles, laughter, and plenty of happy feet! It was a special day that brought everyone together.
