We had such a great afternoon at Balmoral House recently. DB Animal Therapy brought over some wonderful guests: a soft, snuggly rabbit, a curious chameleon, and a very calm snake who surprised a few people by being quite lovely to hold.

Every encounter, whether furry or scaly, brought some real joy. We're wondering...would you pick up the rabbit, or would you be brave and say hello to the snake? Let us know!

Our residents at Balmoral House marked Remembrance Day in various ways in the run up to it. Many enjoyed colouring wreaths and decorating our reception area, while others shared stories and reflections over a cup of tea. On the day itself, those who wished to watched the service together on TV.

Balmoral House has been a hive of spooky cheer this week. Our residents dived into Halloween with real flair: transforming the reception into a cosy autumn haunt, creating a brilliant raffle hamper, getting creative with seasonal art, and carving pumpkins with gusto.

🌸🐣 Easter was in full swing at Balmoral House! Residents got stuck into some lovely Easter craft sessions, followed by a fun-filled party with live entertainment, a delicious buffet, and our very own in-house Easter Bonnet Competition.

We were delighted to welcome friends from Ascot House and Carisbrooke Manor who joined us for the celebrations – a brilliant afternoon shared with great company.

And yes... we do have to mention it – Balmoral House took the crown in the bonnet competition!🏆

Such a joyful day all round!

A paws-itively wonderful day at Carisbrooke Manor! 🐾

We were thrilled to welcome a delightful group of four-legged friends for a special dog show. The talented pups wowed us with their tricks, tackled an exciting obstacle course, and most importantly, shared lots of love and cuddles with our residents.

There were smiles all round as tails wagged, heads were patted, and hearts were warmed. A big thank you to our furry friends and their handlers for bringing so much joy to our home.
