Have you heard of the ‘Safe and Sound’ grants available?

Below are details of what this grant is and I can supply a North Lincolnshire Council application if needed.

You can use the grant to complete a range of measures within your home including keysafes, security lighting, CCTV, door chains, door viewers, window alarms and locks. All work needs to be arranged by you with a qualified tradesman/company and receipts/invoices returned to us for a refund up to £250 to be issued. Keysafes can be fitted by us at a cost of £99 which will be deducted from the grant.

The maximum value of the assistance will be £250 which is not repayable and limited to one (1) application per household. The Safe and Sound assistance is discretionary.

It’s that time if year again, where Easter eggs for family and of course clients don’t just belong in the cupboard, they end up encroaching on my living room! 🐣

We love our good old English weather! 🌦️

One minute we’re planning a lovely day outdoors… the next we’re making sure we’re not blown all the way to Oz! 🌪️😂

Whatever the weather brings, we’re here for it – rain or shine! ☀️☔

Now the sun is finally showing its face, it’s the perfect time to get out and about ☀️

My working week is all about supporting people to feel their best—whether that’s enjoying social groups, getting out for a walk in the fresh air, or helping with washing and tidying at home.

I also offer emotional support, because sometimes having someone to vent to can make a big difference.

I really love what I do, and I’m here to support people in living comfortably, confidently, and generally making my clients happy! 😊

Just this week, I have been supporting each of my clients with individual, person-centred care, based on their own needs and preferences. This has included:

✔️ Providing emotional support and companionship

✔️ Making or warming meals provided by families

✔️ Accompanying clients to hairdresser and doctor appointments

✔️ Supporting clients with walks, even on chilly days, to aid mobility

✔️ Attending social groups with clients

✔️ Completing laundry and household tasks

✔️ Washing dishes and keeping kitchens tidy

✔️ Giving medication prompts

✔️ Completing weekly shopping

Every task is tailored to each individual, helping them remain independent, comfortable, and supported in their own home x

It’s the small wins that matter most!

Recently, I was able to batch cook for a client who had been very reluctant to accept help. What might look like a simple task from the outside was actually a huge step forward for myself and client 🥰
