Resident doctors have just started their latest period of industrial action.

If you have an appointment with us over the next sis days please attend as planned if you haven’t heard from us.
If you need to visit one of our hospitals or emergency departments during the strike action please bear with us, as with significantly fewer doctors expected on shift, you may experience a longer than usual wait for treatment.

Resident doctors are about to start their next round of industrial action. They’re walking out from tomorrow at 7am for six days.
Unfortunately it does mean we have had to stand down some planned appointments, apologies to anyone affected by this, we'll be working to get you booked in as soon as we can.
During the strike we'll be doing our best to keep as many services running as possible, but with significantly fewer doctors on shift our priority will be urgent and emergency care.

A big shout out to all of the NHS staff working today - whether it's in our hospitals, our community services, in a clinical or non-clinical role - THANK YOU for ensuring our services run smoothly this bank holiday.

Strike action will affect local hospitals starting from Tuesday.

Our staff are well rehearsed with this being the 15th round of industrial action by resident doctors. We have put plans in place to keep disruption to a minimum, but regrettably we have had to postpone some appointments as we prioritise our urgent and emergency services. Affected patients will be contacted.

Anyone with an appointment/procedure scheduled for the strike days should attend the hospital as planned if you haven’t heard from our team.

Emma Shrimpton, Assistant Practitioner in Nursing, has created a 'legs matter' pop-up display at The Ironstone Centre in Scunthorpe today.

Emma, who's part of our Complex Wound Management Team, is informing the public of the importance of good lower leg and foot care.

She has information such as emollient application, lower limb exercises, the three point leg check and compression therapy.

The reason for the pop-up is to drive home the message that legs do matter, and issues with legs can be improved and prevented if addressed early.
