UTI Treatment at Scurlage Pharmacy – Fast, Convenient Care

If you're experiencing symptoms of a urinary tract infection (UTI), Scurlage Pharmacy can help—without the need for a GP appointment.

Who Can Use This Service?

This service is available to women aged 16-64 who:
✔ Have not had a UTI in the last 6 months
✔ Have not had 2 or more UTIs in the past 12 months
✔ Are not pregnant

How It Works:

✔ Visit Us – Speak to our trained pharmacist in a private consultation.
✔ Expert Assessment – We’ll ask about your symptoms and may check a urine sample.
✔ Immediate Treatment – If a UTI is confirmed, we can provide antibiotics straight away under NHS guidelines.

No appointment is needed—just visit Scurlage Pharmacy for fast, professional care!

Our independent prescriber can also help in certain circumstances outside of these guidelines - please ask for more information or an appointment to see one of our pharmacists.

We're looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated individual to join our team at Scurlage Pharmacy as a Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant.

About the Role:
You'll be helping patients at the counter, supporting the pharmacy team with day-to-day tasks, and playing a key role in delivering excellent service to our local community.

✨ Experience preferred but not essential – full training will be provided to the right candidate.

Hello Scurlage!

We’re so pleased to finally be here and wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves and share a little bit about our family-run, independent pharmacy.

Our journey began in Penclawdd, where Huw Rees—our father and founder—has been a trusted part of the local community since opening the doors back in September 1983. Over the past 40+ years, Huw built a pharmacy rooted in care, trust, and service.

In 2020, Huw’s son Jonathan and daughter-in-law Stacey joined the family business, stepping in to help lead the team through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and continuing to build on the values the pharmacy was founded on.

Since then, we’ve grown—adding Pontardawe Pharmacy to the family in 2023, where we’ve loved getting to know the local community and providing the care and attention every village deserves.

Now, we’re so excited to bring that same commitment and community spirit to Scurlage. You'll find Jonathan, Stacey, and our pharmacist Cameron working closely with the existing team to deliver a high standard of care and a friendly, familiar face you can trust.
