Following the recent announcement that St Wilfrid’s Hospice will be closing its Care@Home service, resulting in over 30 potential redundancies, we want to reach out directly to the incredible healthcare professionals affected.

At Angel Approved – Care at Home, we recognise the dedication, compassion and skill required to deliver end-of-life and community care. That experience is invaluable — and it belongs here in our community.

We are therefore offering automatic employment consideration to any member of the St Wilfrid’s Care@Home team impacted by these changes.

We are ready to offer roles as Health Care Assistants, subject to our standard recruitment and HR checks, and we will provide full support throughout the transition.

We are no longer selling incontinence products, as we’ve made the decision to put everything into what we do best – delivering outstanding home care.

Friday saw an emotional goodbye to someone who has been part of our story from almost the very beginning 💚

Charlotte has been with us through it all — from the early days when we were small, finding our feet, and dreaming big, to growing into the company we are today. She didn’t just do a job; she helped build this place. Her dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to our clients and team have left a mark that won’t ever fade.

She has been deeply loved by our clients, trusted by families, and respected by colleagues. For so many people, Charlotte wasn’t just a Care Operations Manager — she was a familiar face, a calm voice, a problem-solver, and a constant source of reassurance.

Now she’s off on a new adventure, moving away with her husband, their dogs, and their cat to start an exciting new chapter. While we are incredibly sad to see her go, we are also so proud of her and genuinely excited for everything that lies ahead.

Charlotte, thank you for everything you have given — the long days, the hard moments, the laughs, the care, and the heart you poured into this role and into our company. You will be missed more than words can say, but you will always be part of our journey and our story.
