I saw this sign yesterday while watching my youngest stepdaughter and her boyfriend complete the Brighton Trail Marathon, and I knew I had to share it.

KEEP GOING. YOUR FUTURE SELF IS CHEERING.

It’s such a powerful reminder that lasting change is created through consistency, not overnight transformation.

In Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, we talk a lot about how the brain learns through repetition.

Every time you:
• challenge an old negative thought
• respond differently to stress
• practise a healthier habit
• keep going when things feel difficult

you are helping your brain build and strengthen new neural pathways.

That is how change happens.

Not through one perfect day.
Not through sudden motivation.
But through repeated small steps that gradually become your new normal.

So if progress feels slow right now, please remember, just because change feels gradual it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

Your brain is learning.
Your mind is adapting.

🦋 L o v e Y o u r s e l f 🦋

To give yourself to others, you must be at your best. This was very much the narrative with a couple of my clients yesterday.

My clients find that by investing in and working on themselves, which is the most important part of their journey, also has a positive impact on their relationships with their family, friends and work colleagues.

So, what you can do to help you love yourself this week?

🦋 Have a positive bedtime routine. Winding down before bed is so important. Limit screen time and caffeine at least 2 hours before bed will help.

🦋 Of an evening, think about those things you are grateful for or have brought a smile to your face or joy to your heart during the day. Write them down.

🦋 Keep hydrated during the day.

🦋 Take 15 minutes each day, maybe with a cuppa, and just pause.

🦋 Stop comparing yourself to others, just do you.

🦋 Do one thing each day that your proud of yourself for or has brought you a sense of achievement.

🦋 Get some fresh air.

🦋 Move your body. Be it a walk, some gentle stretches or a workout, whatever you feel like doing.

🦋 Nourish your body.

🦋 S u n s e t 🦋

We watched our first spring sunset at the beach this evening, it was beautiful.

There was something so calming about sitting on the stones with my son, listening to the rhythm of the waves, and watching the sky change colour as the sun slowly dipped below the horizon. No distractions, no rushing, just a moment together to pause and breathe.

Spring always feels like a fresh chapter, but today reminded me that it doesn’t have to arrive with big changes or grand plans. Sometimes it’s simply about noticing the small, peaceful moments and allowing yourself to be present in them with your loved ones.

A gentle reminder to slow down when you can, even for a few minutes and take it all in.

Today is all about the Easter bunny and Easter eggs in our house, in moderation of course! 🐣

To rid you of some of the guilt of eating chocolate today, it can boost your mood. In fact, researchers have found evidence of the mental health benefits of eating chocolate 🍫

There is a positive link between eating chocolate and a decrease in depression symptoms.

Therefore, chocolate symbolises happiness. The smell, taste and texture is enough to positively impact your mood.

I hope you enjoy your day whatever it is you are doing.

🦋 F e e l i n g S t r e s s e d ? 🦋

Take a moment for you, right now.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, but even a few minutes of calm can make a big difference.

Here’s a simple technique for you to try:

✨ Pause – Step away from the noise, close your eyes, and take a deep breath.
✨ Breathe – Inhale slowly for four seconds, hold for four, and exhale for four. Repeat.
✨ Reset – Focus on something that brings you peace—a memory, a sound, or even the rhythm of your breath.

Stress doesn’t have to take over. These small moments of calm can bring you a sense of clarity and control.

Sometimes in life you just have to ride no handed and trust that you won’t fall off the bike!!

Not everything can be planned, controlled, or figured out in advance.

Sometimes you just have to take a deep breath, let go a little, and trust yourself.

Trust that you’ll find your balance.
Trust that you’ll work it out.
Trust that even if you wobble, you probably won’t fall.

And even if you do… you’ll get back on again. 🚲

Here is your reminder that the clocks change tonight.

I always remember the clock changing poem:

‘Spring forward, fall back’.

I know we lose an hour in bed tomorrow but I’m really looking forward to the lighter evenings, being able to spend more time outside and reaping the benefits of that extra time.

What a pleasure it has been being a part of this clients journey. Re-sharing these words as they reinforceto me why I do what I do. I am forever grateful that my clients chose me to help them with their mental well-being journey.

“I had a consultation booked with Jane in November as she had been highly recommended to me and I was at a point where I needed some help. This particular day certain events led to me having a breakdown in my doctors surgery.

I was seen quickly and prescribed some medication. I felt absolutely drained and that I really had reached the very bottom of the pit, there was no light anywhere, just dark. I was there but I wasn’t there and anyone suffering with anxiety will tell you the same thing, I was in a bubble that just wouldn’t pop.

The minute I saw Jane it was like seeing my guardian Angel and I knew that I was in safe hands.
I booked a block of sessions and listened to my audio each bedtime and wrote down my 3 positives from that day. Week by week I felt myself growing stronger and by doing all the things Jane had discussed with me I could just start to see a glimmer of light.

I was dreading Christmas as I felt so unable to cope and was trying so hard to put on a brave face but with her support and the support from my family and friends I actually had a nice time and started to feel less anxious and more confident.

The real test came in January when the thing that was causing me so much anxiety and stress reared its ugly head but, I dealt with it in a calm, rational and clear manner. I even found myself smiling and laughing about it with my family.
That instant that light grew brighter and my confidence grew.

I never dreamt in a million years that I would ever feel half as good as I did but I felt so proud of myself and knew my perseverance had paid off.
I could not have done any of that without Jane’s help and guidance and I will be forever grateful to her.

I booked some more sessions to further gain my confidence and it was the best thing I have ever done.

Not only does Jane work in an extremely professional manner, she becomes your mentor and confidant. She makes you laugh, feel relaxed, and shares her journey, but above all she makes you feel special, loved and normal. She is one in a million and I really do feel that she saved me.
I cannot recommend Jane enough she is a beautiful person inside and out 🦋”

🦋 O n e B i r d 🦋

There was just this one bird in the sky the other day when i took Bailey for a walk. They were flying in wide circles, singing like the whole world was listening.

It made me stop for a moment.
No rushing, no noise, no crowd, just one small bird and its beautiful song.

It reminded me how important it is to pause sometimes.
To breathe.
To look up.
To notice what’s already around us.

We don’t always need big moments to feel something shift inside us. Sometimes it’s as simple as just a bird in the sky, singing.

So this came as a complete surprise when I recieved a phone call on Thursday telling me I had got through to the finals in the Best Health, Fitness & Well-Being Business category of the Seahaven Business Awards 2026.

Someone has nominated me (I don’t know who) and the judges have chosen me to be a finalist in the top 3 of my category.

A huge heartfelt thank you to whoever has nominated me, it really does mean the world to me and I am speechless that you took the time and effort to do so.

I absolutely love what I do. Helping people over the last 6 years to make significant and positive changes in their life is hugely fulfilling and something I am super proud of.

The final is being held at the American Express Stadium on Friday 8th May so watch this space for an update then.

I already feel like a winner and cannot wait to be a part of a special evening.
