Come and join me in class this week and let’s move through January together, with intention, warmth, and resilience, whilst honouring the slower rhythm of winter.

January can be a challenging time of year. While it brings the promise of a fresh start, the cold, dark days often weigh us down and leave us feeling low in mood and energy.
Studies have shown that Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) affects millions worldwide, and peaks at this time of year.
Today, Monday 19th, the third week of January has become known as “Blue Monday,” often labelled as the most depressing day of the year.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. Yoga offers us tools to gently counteract winter’s heaviness by boosting energy, and improving mood.

The cold months can leave us feeling stiff and sluggish. Yoga can help invigorate your body and uplift your spirit.
Mindful breathing can create a significant shift in your energy levels and mood.

Whether you practice on the mat or prefer a supportive seated/standing practice, a complete beginner or a regular practitioner, there is yoga for 'all of us'.

Classes are in Seaford.
Please reach out to book your first class with me:

Your first class is FREE!

How are you feeling now we are a couple of weeks into January? The 19th of January has become known as "Blue Monday" and has gained a reputation as the most depressing day of the year. It may be a myth or a marketing ploy, the science behind it a bit flimsy; but, January can feel heavy - dark mornings, low energy, money tight, pressure of New Year's resolutions, and nervous systems running on empty.
If you’re feeling low, stuck, or just plain ‘meh,’ you’re not alone - and there are ways to navigate it...

This is where yoga really matters.
Yoga isn’t about pushing or fixing - it’s about coming back into the body, breathing, moving gently, and reminding ourselves we’re still here and supported.

If today feels slow or flat:
✨ Take a few deep breaths
✨ Move gently (even a short walk or stretch helps)
✨ Notice how your body feels rather than judging it
✨ Choose kindness over pressure
✨ Set one or two small, doable goals
✨ Reach out to someone for a chat
✨ Get some daylight where you can
✨ Be gentle with yourself - January is hard

If you’d like some support, you’re very welcome to join one of my yoga classes - a space to move, breathe, and feel connected to your body and to community. You don’t need to feel “good” to come. Just come as you are 💛

For more info, contact Linda, either DM or email: l.clifford@outlook.com or text 07813 147547

I welcome "every body", whether you practice on the mat or with seated support - you are all very welcome.
And your first class is free!

They have re-written Blue Monday, and it's now the UK’s first official gentleness day dedicated to bringing connection, presence, joy, and peace back into the heart of society through a deeper understanding of gentleness and everyday acts of care.

The new year is a perfect time to reconnect with your body, your breath, and your own wellbeing.
It’s about finding your rhythm, taking your health into your own hands, and moving in ways that feel good for you.

Yoga is a wonderful way to do that - and it isn’t about how it looks.
It’s not defined by the shapes you make, or whether you can get up and down from the floor.
Yoga isn’t a gym class - it’s a holistic practice, connecting body, mind, energy, and spirit.
My classes offer an accessible approach, whether you practise on the mat or prefer the support of a chair.
We explore strength, flexibility, balance, breath, body awareness, and stillness in ways that are adaptable, thoughtful, and kind to the body.
Chair-assisted yoga is not a compromise - it’s an invitation into yoga for those who might otherwise feel excluded or miss out on the many benefits of a yoga practice, and for those who simply want more support, stability, or sustainability.

Whether you’re returning after a break, curious to try, or looking for a practice that truly meets you where you are, you’re all very welcome.

To me, September feels like January...
It’s a time for new beginnings, to refresh, reset and choose routines that truly support health and wellbeing.
With schools back and life finding its rhythm again, many of us are craving structure that feels achievable rather than stressful.

Science shows that having a regular routine reduces stress, improves focus, and even helps you sleep better.
The good news? You don’t need to overhaul your whole life to feel the benefits. Just one intentional anchor can ripple out into your everyday.

That’s where yoga comes in...
✨ Improved strength, flexibility, and balance
✨ Stress relief, nervous system regulation, and better sleep
✨ Motivation and accountability within a supportive community

The structured routine of a class makes it easier to build healthy habits and ensures you receive the cumulative benefits of regular practice for long-term positive change. And here’s the bonus: what you learn in class will begin to filter into your day - lifting your mood, shifting your outlook, and deepening your body awareness.

If you’re looking for rhythm and balance this autumn, now’s the perfect time to start. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or looking for a fresh class, you’re warmly welcome.

Join me for a 𝑭𝑹𝑬𝑬 class and discover how yoga can support your wellbeing and boost your vitality....

Increasing energy with yoga is an excellent way to boost your overall wellness and vitality, since it offers a holistic approach that invigorates your entire being. When we practice yoga, we are not only moving our bodies, but we are also nourishing our mind and spirit.
When we move through postures, we stretch and strengthen muscles, improve circulation, and increase the flow of oxygen - leaving us feeling refreshed and revitalized.

But yoga is more than movement. Mindfulness and breathing practices calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and lift mood. This not only restores energy but can also improve sleep, so you wake up feeling more balanced and alive.

With regular practice, yoga supports strength, balance, flexibility, and peace of mind - helping you feel healthier, calmer, and more energized in daily life.

Weekly classes in Seaford, along with Chair yoga classes too.

This is my lovely Mum in the middle, she's 86, and comes to my chair yoga classes twice a week. She has bad arthritis, and is about to have her second knee replacement. She also came all through her cancer treatment too.
Chair yoga makes the practice of yoga accessible, there's no getting up and down off the floor and all the 'traditional' yoga poses or shapes are adapted.
We practice functional movement, flexibility, strengthening muscles and bones, balance, breathing practice and relaxation to aid stress, anxiety and better sleep by calming the nervous system.

The classes are a mixed age group and all come with various health issues. It's a safe and supportive environment and a lovely way to connect with others.
We are a bit scarce on men though, so I do encourage men to be brave and give it a go! Those who do come find it so beneficial.

If you are reading this and have parents who live in Seaford, please share this with them.

Classes are held at:
Chyngton Methodist Church Hall, Millberg Road
Wednesday 10.45am - 11.45am
The 12A stops outside.

St James Trust, 11 Blatchington Road
