Positive Touch Therapy

Positive Touch Therapy was formed by Hayley Bennett BSc in 2018 after spending her first year out of university treating and gaining valuable experience within a well established clinic based in South Wales. Having suffered a personal injury that left her with compartment syndrome, Hayley has always been passionate about Sports Therapy and strives to have the best understanding of the body and injury prevention. Hayley has always been surrounded in the world of sport, most predominantly football and swimming. From playing alongside the Brighton and Hove Albion girls football team and local East Sussex teams, to working and volunteering as a coach for many years to swimming and competing at county level. Hayley graduated Chichester University with a degree in Sports Therapy in 2017. With the degree focusing largely on the examination and assessment of sports injuries (spinal and peripheral joints), biomechanical/postural faults, rehabilitation for injured athletes, manual therapy, sports massage - pre and post-activity, electrotherapy modalities and K-taping. Hayley is also a qualified level 3 personal trainer allowing her to be in depth and innovative with strengthening programmes and seek out any weakness a patient may have that could be contributing to pain or hindering performance. We have recently set up a new clinic in Unit 46a located within the Enterprise Centre on Denton Island, Newhaven. We have lots of accessible parking at the front of the building next to Sussex Downs college, with more availability from 8am-8pm Mon-Fri. We work hard to be able to get patients as pain free as possible, our mission is to help our patients accomplish their goals in a painless, compassionate and efficient way.

What a 7 years it has been, this has been a perfect first year working from home 🙌🏻 Bert is has also really enjoyed all the extra cuddles 🐶

Thank you to everyone for making my dream come true 🙏🏻 and thank you for all the recommendations on here and in person and everyone who has visited the clinic, I truly cannot thank you enough 💙 I always feel unbelievably grateful that I get to do a job that feels more like a hobby 🫶🏻 so thank you guys for always keeping me busy 💙

A lovely email to receive before going into the weekend 😍 I always love coming back to work after a break as I adore what I do and who I work with 😍 physiotherapists can make the world of difference to your injury/pain journey 🤕

This patient injured their back severely and whilst waiting for the NHS referral we were able to get them sorted before their appointment came through 🙌🏻

Happy Friday everyone!

Wonderful start to the day with a visit from my sponsored athlete Beth! Here she is competing in the Sussex Indoor Athletics Championships - look at her fly!

Beth moved up a pole length and got a PB!

I have been working with Beth on a little hip ni**le and elbow injury following some gruelling training sessions. It has been such a privilege hearing about her training and commitment and how she prepares for comps 😁

Hey guys! I've been MIA this week having some much needed family time and RnR! It's been a huge year and this was our first break away in over a year 🤯🫣 so very very needed!

Back to work as normal next week - just a quick note to say that appointments are going very very quickly at the moment - so I would recommend if anyone is needing an appointment soon to book a couple weeks ahead to ensure you get a spot!

Hope everyone had a lovely Easter weekend!

I've been a little quiet on here due to such a jam packed few weeks trying to balance a busy work schedule and some me time!

Got to try some different sports this weekend - padel on Friday which I am obsessed with 😍 and the new pump track at hove 😍 and tennis as well! I love giving any sports a go and moving my body in different ways!

Keep your eyes peeled this week as I will be popping some updates about the sponsored athletes and their events over the last month!
