Measles can make your child very poorly and can sometimes be dangerous.

If your child has missed any of their MMRV jabs (measles, mumps, rubella and chicken pox), speak to your GP practice to catch up as soon as you can.

The MMRV vaccine is safe, works well, and is the best way to keep your child protected.

✅ Check they’ve had all their jabs

The HPV vaccine helps protect against several cancers, including cervical cancer, as well as cancers of the mouth, throat and ge****ls.

It’s offered to boys and girls in school to help protect them later in life.

The vaccine does not protect against all HPV types, so attending cervical screening when invited is still important.

March is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.

It’s important to know the signs and symptoms – especially as risk increases with age. Most cases develop in men aged 50 or older and prostate cancer is more common in Black men.

Prostate cancer often develops slowly, so there may be no symptoms for many years.

Early diagnosis and treatment can save lives. Contact your GP if you notice any changes in your body or something doesn’t feel right.

Norovirus is a stomach bug that causes diarrhoea and vomiting.

The average number of patients in hospital with norovirus each day last week rose to over 1,000 for the first time this winter.

It can spread very easily, but washing your hands frequently with soap and water is the best way to stop it spreading.

If you catch it, stay at home until two days after the symptoms stop. Don’t visit hospitals or care homes during this time.
