A lovely morning with The Sensory Place

What a truly SENDsational evening at the Little SENDsationsGala- Night of Stars! ✨
I felt incredibly honoured to be recognised as a finalist for the Heart of the Community Award. ❤️🌈 Being in a room filled with so many inspiring people who work tirelessly to support SEND children, adults and families was really something special.

Being a finalist meant so much, but the real reward is working daily with our amazing families, schools, groups and other professionals, seeing them feel supported, accepted and our community becoming more inclusive every day which makes me beyond proud!

Creating Rainbows Sensory Space Ltd has always been about one simple but powerful goal — providing an inclusive safe space so that children and adults with SEND feel welcomed, understood and valued.

6 years in, we have a new building, we are growing and expanding our services but the this journey will always remain deeply personal. ❤️ Rainbows was created in loving memory of my brother David and every step forward is about continuing his mission to champion the rights of disabled people to ensure they are seen, heard and included.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support we look forward to creating more special memories together in our lovely new venue!

Free Wheelchair Skills Workshop! 🌟

Go Kids Go are running a free, fun and inclusive workshop for young wheelchair users aged 2–18 on Saturday 28th February, 1:30pm – 5:00pm in Newcastle and everyone’s welcome!

This workshop is open to all young wheelchair users across the region and their families.

🌈 PRICE INCREASE 🌈
I hate to write this 😪, but in line with our pricing policy and to ensure we can continue providing an amazing service for families in our new building, we’ve had to make some updates to our pricing.

This change allows us to maintain the quality, calm, and fully equipped environment you and your children love, without compromising the care and support we provide.

For most events and groups - our pricing is currently £10 per child, this will remain the same for events that take part in the sensory room alone and are capped at 5 children per session to keep the numbers low and the environment calm.

Events in collaboration with other services which include the use of the main hall activity with an external provider as well as use of the sensory room- these events are £12.50 after half term.

Private hire is currently £45 and will increase to £50 Going forward after half term. This is to ensure groups and private bookings are in line and consistent.

In regards to PMLD sessions, these will remain capped at 3 children to ensure their needs are met efficiently and that the environment remains calm and comfortable with space for chairs and hoists within the sensory room.

We truly appreciate your understanding and continued support, and we can’t wait to welcome you all back for more wonderful sensory sessions! 💛
