In Loving Memory of Bill Chrystal

Our much-loved husband, dad, and grandad, Bill Chrystal, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on 6th October 2025.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at St Mary’s Church, Horden (SR8 4HY) on Tuesday 21st October 2025 at 12 noon.
Everyone who knew Bill, or whose life he touched, is warmly invited to attend the service and join the family in celebrating his life.

Following the service, there will be a private burial for immediate family only.

Afterwards, all are welcome to join us at Horden Rugby Club, Eden Lane, Peterlee (SR8 5DJ) to share stories, raise a glass, and remember Bill in the way he would have wanted.

Family flowers only, please.
Donations, if desired, will be shared between the Great North Air Ambulance and James Cook Heart Ward – two causes close to Bill’s heart.

Not our usual post but we can’t let this day pass without sharing the celebrations for our wonderful Sheila turning 70 today.

Such a special, kind and selfless person for once the spotlight is on her and she will be truly spoilt.

No plans to slow down or ‘retire’ as her involvement with our families means so much to her.

We have managed to persuade to have today off. Happy birthday Sheila x
