๐ฃA post from Harpreet Banwait (Owner and managing director)๐ฃ
The most important boardroom in our business isnโt a boardroom at allโฆ.Itโs the lounge of a care home.
Yesterday I was in the North East visiting Church View and Tenlands, spending time with the people who matter most โ our residents, their families, and our incredible teams.
One moment stayed with me.
I met Rachel, who greeted me warmly. When I asked, โHow are you, Rachel?โ she simply said:
โIโm happy.โ
That one sentence made my heart feel warm. Because behind it is a team delivering truly outstanding care every single day.
Rachel proudly showed me her knitting. In her 90s, she knits woolly hats and mittens for newborn babies at the local hospital โ especially premature babies and those born with medical conditions.
Even now, Rachel continues to serve others selflessly.
An inspiration.
Rachel โ thank you for everything you do. Weโll do everything we can to keep improving your home and your experience at Church View. After walking the home, we have some exciting plans to invest further in the environment.
Sam Walton once said he learned everything by walking his stores, talking to customers, and listening to his teams.
The same principle applies in care.
You learn the most by being present.
A huge well done to Pam and the entire Church View team โ a full home, a waiting list, and rightly the care home and employer of choice in the area. That only happens when people truly care.
And it shows.
