❗️Cancellation Policy Reminder❗️

Please note — without wanting to sound like a broken record — we have unfortunately had a few cancellations with very short notice recently.

As stated in our consent form, we require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any appointment cancellations or rescheduling.
We do have a waiting list of clients who would gladly take these appointments; however, they are very difficult to fill at short notice. These appointments can come at a significant cost for our little business.

Going forward, for this reason, any appointment not cancelled within 24 hours will be charged in full, and this fee must be paid before any future appointments can be booked.
We completely understand that occasionally things pop up unexpectedly, and any exceptions will be made at our discretion.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Lisa and Leigh

We’d like to say a huge thank you to our colleagues at Spennymoor Foot clinic for all your continued support. Working together truly shows how professionals in the same field should collaborate — with respect, shared knowledge, and a common goal of providing the very best care for our patients 👣👣❤️

❗️We’re going to be just a little bit shameless for a moment… 🙈💙

👣👣Great reviews don’t just make us smile — they truly make a difference for our clinic and the people we care for every day.
We know life gets busy, and sometimes leaving a review can slip down the to-do list. But your feedback plays a powerful role in helping others feel confident when choosing a clinic they can trust. When new patients see your kind words and honest experiences, it reassures them that they’re in safe, caring hands.

Reviews also help boost bookings, allowing our clinic to continue growing, investing in better equipment, expanding services, and improving the overall patient experience. Most importantly, your feedback helps us improve — we genuinely listen and use your suggestions to refine and enhance the care we provide.

If you’ve visited us recently and had a positive experience, we’d truly appreciate you taking a moment to leave a recommendation in the reviews section on our page or pop onto Google and leave us a review there. It only takes a minute, but it makes a lasting impact.
Thank you for supporting our clinic and being part of our community 🤍

⭐️ Here is our latest article featured in SR7 Magazine, focusing on a topic we see so often in clinic: ingrowing toenails 👣

It’s been fantastic to use this platform to educate, raise awareness, and reach more people who might be struggling with something they often put off getting checked.

A huge thank you to SR7 Magazine for being such a supportive space for small businesses. Their dedication to showcasing local expertise and helping businesses grow really does make a difference, and we’re grateful to be part of it.

If you’re a small business looking for a great way to increase visibility, connect with your community, and grow — we couldn’t recommend SR7 Magazine highly enough.

Thank you again for the support 🙌

✨️As we embark on a really busy week and the last week of 2025 here at East Shore Podiatry, we reflect back on an incredible year for us both. Here we share a little of what you dont see ✨️

🎄👣 Behind the Scenes of Running a Podiatry Practice – A Thought on the Run-Up to 🎄

Most people see the treatments, the assessments, and the happy feet walking out the door. But behind the scenes, running a podiatry business is a whole different story.
In the lead-up to Christmas, the pace picks up—and so do the thoughts that keep you up at night:
“What if next month is quiet?”
Money worries, juggling work-life balance, and the fear of getting sick when the whole clinic relies on you become even louder this time of year.
There’s still the compliance, the paperwork, the tech hiccups, and the to-do list that somehow grows as the year winds down.
But despite the pressure and the unknowns, we keep showing up—because helping someone walk without pain will always be worth it.

And as we head toward Christmas, through all the chaos and gratitude, one thing stands out above all: we’re incredibly thankful for a full diary and the trust our patients place in us.

Thankyou everyone for a great year
🎄Merry Xmas and all the best for 2026 from Lisa and Leigh at East Shore Podiatry 🎄

👣👣 Ingrowing toenails have been reported to be one of the main reasons people attended A+E recently. Podiatrists are the specialists in treating these. To make an appointment for treatment please call 📞 0191 5034246

👣 Lets talk painful ingrowing toe nails?👣

👣Onychocryptosis, commonly known as an ingrown toenail, occurs when the edge of a toenail grows into the surrounding skin. This condition can cause pain, redness, swelling, and sometimes infection. It often affects the big toe but not exclusive to, and can result from improper nail trimming, tight footwear, trauma or the shape of the toenail.👣

❗️Please note❗️
Antibiotics only reduce inflammation and infection. 👣
Antibiotics are NOT A CURE. When the problem is still there, infection will most probably return once the course of treatment is finished.👣
A conservative management plan will be made initially but this doesn't always work so always a last resort and where conservative management has failed in more severe cases, surgical intervention is required. 👣
Podiatrists are trained in nail surgery techniques, using local anaesthetics 👣
