The NADA protocol of auricular acupuncture is used worldwide, and involves the insertion of up to five small sterilised acupuncture needles into specific points within each ear to address a wide range of issues. There are five points on each ear used and these five points are called 1. Shenmen 2. Sympathetic 3. Kidney 4. Liver 5. Lung
These points may help with:
•General well-being: It is used to improve overall health and well-being, menopausal symptoms.
•Pain management: Auricular acupuncture can be used to treat pain.
•Mental and emotional health: It is used to help with stress, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, and sleep problems.
• Addiction support: It has a long history of use in supporting people with addiction.
• Cancer support: used to help manage symptoms of cancer treatment, such as hot flushes/ night sweats, neuropathy, nausea
You will receive the treatment whilst sitting in a chair and asked to remain seated for up to 40 minutes. During the treatment, you may feel a sense of calm and may even feel drowsy, this is perfectly normal.
