Welcome to Westwood Care Home, a comfortable, secure and friendly care home in Selby.

Set in large, mature grounds, we are home to 16 elderly male and female residents. Our aim is to create a true home from home in a happy and caring environment.

🧁 What an amazing coffee morning 🧁 we have had today!. We had the wonderful Lee lambert-Brooks come to entertain us! We enjoyed singing 🎶 and dancing 💃 and tea and cakes 🍰 ☕️. Thankyou to everyone who came to support us.

🍪The great Westwood bake off ! 🍪
It’s Yorkshire bake of week and at Westwood we were all eager to take part! Our lovely ladies and gents have had a fantastic day being creative and getting messy!. With the help of our dedicated team there has been lots of fun and laughter 🤭. The best bit is we all get to eat all our hardwork! Well done everyone.

🍕pizza time at Westwood tonight 🍕
Our lovely cook Elaine has been very busy making these lovely pizzas for our residents tonight. All our meals are freshly prepared for our residents daily to make sure they get the right nutrition they all need. Enjoy everyone

Big Thankyou to everyone that came to support us. Thankyou to the amazing Marina Mae for entertaining us, Elaine for all your hard work in the kitchen.
Thankyou to the staff on duty.
We are happy to announce we raised an amazing £423 for our residents fund! 😊

🎉 We are all really excited at Westwood!🎤
Our annual summer fair is tomorrow, we have the amazing Marina mae singing for us 😊.
Raffle tickets are still available and we have some amazing prizes to be won, including hampers, vouchers from local businesses.

We hope to see you all there for lots of fun and laughter.

🥇 What an amazing care home Olympics day we have had together at Westwood 🏆
We were all really excited to take part in the different events and everyone was really competitive!
We then had a break to enjoy our hydration station made by our lovely Elaine full of fresh fruit 🍇 and homemade treats.
We have all had lots of fun and laughs and fingers crossed 🤞 we do well against all the other amazing carehomes that are taking part, thankyou for our visitor who is organising the olympics for coming to see us all enjoying our selves.

🍹 Westwood happy hour is in full swing!🍹 We have pims and lemonade and strawberry 🍓 or chocolate 🍫 ice cream floats. Our lovely cook Elaine has made an apple 🍏 and blackberry pie 🥧 from apples kindly donated to the carehome. We would also like to wish our lovely resident Geri a very happy birthday 🎂 from all of us at Westwood xx

😊We have had a fun filled week at Westwood!. With lots of different activities.
A big Thankyou to Morrisons who donated beautiful flowers for us all to enjoy on Monday. We then enjoyed singing 🎤and dancing 🕺with the lovely Maggie from musical moments and then the fantastic Nikki came to entertain us.
Our lovely ladies and gents have took part in jigsaws 🧩 and even a game of bowling 🎳. Tomorrow as part of hydration week we are having a happy hour 2-3 with mocktails, 🍹milkshakes🧋 and lots of other delicious drinks!
We hope you can join us we would love to see you there!
