Do you want flowers for your funeral?
These beautiful flowers were from the funeral I conducted yesterday.
Many people leave the flowers at the crematorium, I personally think it a shame as no one gets the benefit of them.
After yesterday's funeral, myself and the funeral director asked what the client would like doing with the flowers. Her response "oh its fine, well it would be nice to put them in the Parish Church, but it's too late now".
So I took the flowers, contacted a friend and placed them in the Parish Church.

Iain and I were away in the Lake District this week and did lovely walk around Rydal Lake. As you can see it was very hilly.
Can you imagine carrying a coffin ⚰on this path?
This is the old coffin route which was used to carry coffins from St Oswald's Church, Grasmere which is about 2 miles.
There is a few of these around the country that were used to carry coffins from isolated villages to cemeteries with burial rights.
