🎞What an exciting day it has been 🎞

The new BBC One and Amazon Freevee drama The Boat Story have been filming in Selby. We have a few shots of them filming outside the practice 📽

It has been lovely to meet the friendly film crew and they have been warmly welcomed by everyone in Selby.

Then the stars of the show, the very lovely Paterson Joseph and Daisy Haggard popped into the practice to say hello. We feel very honoured✨

As a mark of respect to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and to allow our team and patients to commemorate her on the day of the Royal Funeral, we have made the decision to close the practice on Monday 19th September.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time of National remembrance and mourning.

✨Exciting news✨

I am honoured to say that I have been chosen to work at the Commonwealth Games Athletes Village Medical Clinic. I will be using my Optometry skills to help Athletes from all around the world. It’s my first shift today and what an incredible experience it is already. Thank you to our lovely patients for your words of encouragement and of course to the most wonderful team at Inner Vision for all help with the planning and support 💙

Did you know that 55 Micklegate has been an Opticians since the 1930s? We are so proud to continue this heritage.

Micklegate translates as ‘Great Street’ in Norse.
