*Waking Night* require an experienced Carer for an Elderly female Client on Palliative care to relieve live-in- carers. Immediate start subject to compliance check.

Emmaculate Care Services Ltd is a CQC registered l care provider which has been providing quality care and support to people in their own homes in North Yorkshire, the following areas in City of York, Selby Town, and surrounding villages.
We are looking for caring, enthusiastic, and compassionate care staff and support workers who want to be a part of our growth and success.

You will be assisting with personal care including bathing, dressing, medication as well as meal preparation, domestic chores and providing companionship. Some of our service users require support to promote their independence and community access.
Person Specification:
· Care experience is desirable but not essential as we provide full, ongoing training and support with mentoring for all staff.
· We require both non drivers and car drivers who have access to a car and have a full UK driving licence.
· Appointments subject to a DBS disclosure and satisfactory references.
· We are looking for care staff in Haxby, Huntingdon and surrounding areas.

· £9.50 - £12.00 per hour (dependent on area worked)

JOB TITLE: Support Worker for People with Physical and Learning Disabilities

REPORTING TO: Team Leader/Care Coordinator

JOB PURPOSE:

To work within a team to provide care and support services for adults with learning disabilities, and/or behaviours that may challenge; which aims to maximise the potential of individuals in line with ordinary life principles.

SKILLS / ABILITIES

Required:

 Proven ability to work on own initiative and work as part of a team
 Knowledge and understanding of issues relating to people with learning disabilities
 A commitment to a service which provides support to vulnerable individuals, and which is respectful and according to the individuals’ wishes
 Good communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to communicate effectively with service users, colleagues, managers and other persons with a legitimate interest in the project
 Commitment to training and development

Desired:

 Flexible and innovative approach to working
 Knowledge of care planning systems
 Empathy with the concept of Supported Living and the principles of it
 Decision –making and problem-solving skills
 British Sign Language or Signs Supported Spoken English or equivalent
 Experience of working in a care/support setting, ideally within learning disability services.


EXPERIENCE

Required:

 Experience of working in a support, and multi-disciplinary setting
 Working with both children and adults
