This comes to a surprise to many people, yet when one considers the question 😱

Not why the addiction but “why the pain”? we are able to unpack the root cause.

Simply put, an addiction dissociates away from the pain. It is a repeated behaviour, substance related or not, in which a person feels compelled to persist regardless of negative impact on his/her life or other.

Addictions present themselves in many different forms
