Counselling for Grief & Bereavement
Places now available. Contact through Messenger.
As a Counsellor, like many others we have experienced loss, and have worked through our experience and emotions. This is the only way that we can be there for our clients. We have to understand the process in order to be able to advise, and be understanding in our clients grief. We can feel grief for the loss of a pet, a job, a family home, it does not always have to be someone close. No-one knows how the loss will affect them, but what we do know is that we are all individual, and therefore grief will effect us all differently.
We can feel sadness, denial, anger, stuck in a place that doesn’t feel real. Sometimes situations that cause grief are totally unexpected, and how we as a person deal with it may also be unexpected to the individual. Some of us will take our time to process what’s happened, and try to work through our feelings, some of us may begin the cycle of grief straight away, and sometimes the feelings and emotions of the loss can be so overwhelming that we find ourselves in a cycle of pain, depression, confusion. So what do we do, in all of these situations talking about the loss is something we all need to do, finding the right person to talk with is the hard part. You are not on your own, if you would like to take the first step to counselling at your quiet place, please get in touch, we do understand, we will listen, and we will be there to help. It can take time to reach a place where you can feel happy again, and realise that everything you are feeling is the process of Grief and loss. Be at that safe place where, in a non- judgemental environment, you can cry, remember, and feel your emotions and grieve. Sarah Leadbetter CMA, ACCPH Grief & Bereavement Counselling.
