We are now taking bookings for our Flu clinics which commence on the 1st October for the following categories
• Pregnant women
• All children 2 or 3 years on 31.8.2025
• All 65 and over
• 18 years and under 65 in clinical risk groups
• Care homes
• Close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
• Frontline health and social care workers ( including both clinical and non- clinical staff )

Links will be sent to patients within the next few days

Covid clinics are now open to book from the 1st October – with clinics at Helliifeld on 17th, 24th October and 7th November
The criteria for a Covid vaccine is
• Residents in care homes
• All adults 75 and over or anyone 75 before the end of Jan 26
• Immunosuppressed as defined by the green book

If you book into a Covid clinic you will be offered your flu vaccine at the same time

Flu links will be sent shortly once our clinics are open for Flu only bookings

Covid and Flu - UPDATE

We can start both from the 1st October, however we can start children and pregnant women for Flu from the 1st September

Covid is in line with the spring campaign

• Residents in care homes

We will shortly be opening booking for both and sending links out – where patients book into a Covid clinics they will be offered flu as well – If you book into a flu clinic you will only be able to have flu

A small number of home visits will be available however where possible if patients come to the surgery Settle or Hellifield , we can vaccinate in the carpark/ or have a wheelchair available.

We will confirm when booking is open - which is likely to be next week.

Wednesday 20th August - due to loss of electricity supply at Hellifield Branch Surgery, we will not be open today. We will update post as soon as we have any further information. For any Urgent issues re prescriptions, that cannot wait until Thursday, when Hellifield will hopefully reopen, please call Settle on 01729 822611. Thank you.

We will shortly be opening our appointments to enable booking into our Covid and Flu clinic’s these will commence on the 1st October ( In line with national guidelines )– more details to follow on eligibility shortly.

We will ensure that we have ordered vaccines for all eligible patients within our practice and hope you will continue to support Townhead Surgeries by having your vaccine with us.
