Now school is back up and running the single track road up to Kemsing gets very busy - please can we ask parents not to use the surgery car park for dropping of their children as it causes significant congestion for patients and staff and can block access to the surgery to ambulances in an emergency.

Regarding our last post about IT outages at the surgery, all systems have been restored and are now working.

The practice is currently experiencing a major IT outage and we are currently unable to review any submitted Anima triage forms.
Please can we request contacts with the surgery this morning are limited to emergency enquiries only.

Problematic skin tags
Previously infected cysts
Ingrowing toenails
Fatty lumps

Please submit an enquiry form and we can review your request. If possible a picture of the issue will help facilitate the assessment process.

Please note- skin lesions cannot generally be removed purely for cosmetic reasons.

Please add a date for your diary- we will be carrying out our 2025 winter flu clinic on Saturday 4th October. We will be contacting all eligible patients in advance to book them in for a jab.

Measles is a preventable condition- make sure your children have been vaccinated.

Seventeen children have been treated at the Liverpool hospital for the virus since June.

SGN and WCB utilities have provided updated information regarding the upcoming roadworks starting 21st July, scheduled to last for 6 weeks.

Station Road will be fully closed during this time. WCB has confirmed that the closure will be near the station.

Leonard Avenue will remain fully accessible throughout the works.

Access to the practice will be available via High Street or Sevenoaks Road.

We understand this may cause significant disruption when travelling to and from the practice. Please allow extra time for your journey to ensure you arrive promptly for your appointment.

If you would prefer to change a face-to-face appointment to a telephone consultation, please contact the practice. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

Following recent news articles about the prescribing of injectable weight loss drugs (Mounjaro) in primary care, we have been receiving a lot of enquiries about them.

Regrettably, at the moment we are not able to prescribe these drugs for weight loss purposes due mainly to issues of capacity. More information is available below explaining the decision.

Mounjuro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a drug which has been licensed and approved by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) for managing overweight and obesity.

Dear residents of Otford and Kemsing. Please be aware that as of 30th June the surgery will be changing our online triage system from AccuRx to Anima. You will notice the new Anima logo on our website and communications going forward.

Anima is very simple to use and is similar to our previous system in terms of how you communicate with the surgery.
