We were delighted to be asked to attend Brew Monday at Edenbridge this week. We had meaningful conversations and took 7 important blood pressure checks 💜
If you missed this one, keep an eye for the next Wellbeing day...
🫖 ☕ This we caught up with Edenbridge Memorial Health Centre’s wellbeing hub colleagues to reflect on why hosting days like can be a lifeline for local people.
Ageing Well Clinic and Social Value Co-ordinator, Rachael Tufo told us: “We support people aged 65 and over from the area to live happy and healthy lives, age well at home and stay out of hospital; We do this by focusing on their health, mobility and independence.
👴🏻👵🏽 “While many Edenbridge and Westerham residents have already visited our specialist service, we also reach out to those registered with a nearby GP.
“What better way to make information sessions like these enjoyable, relaxed and useful than to share a cuppa and get together close to home.
🗣️ “This week, we were thrilled to work with NHS Kent and Medway Talking Therapies, whose programmes help with common mental health problems such as stress, anxiety and depression.
📉 “Our partners from Sevenoaks District Council Official talked to people about the HERO Service, which provides personalised guidance on how to manage benefits, budgeting and living costs.
🧑🏻⚕️ “And the health and wellbeing coach from Sevenoaks Primary Care Network, which is made up of eight nearby GP practices, working together to deliver more comprehensive patient-centred care, was on-site taking blood pressure checks.
🥗 “Last but not least, our One You Kent colleagues were also on-hand to help people learn about and make healthy lifestyle choices.”
🏥 Edenbridge Memorial Health Centre provides intermediate care, general practice and outpatient services under one roof.
