After a lovely visit to the Otford Lunch Club, where a few of our clients enjoy spending time each week, we took a moment to pause and look out across the beautiful Shoreham hills.

The birds singing, the fresh air, the peaceful countryside — it was one of those moments where everything just felt calm and still.

But what makes the lunch club truly special isn’t just the setting — it’s the people.

Local residents coming together for a warm meal, a sweet dessert, good conversation and of course the famous raffle! 🎟️

There is such a genuine sense of community, kindness and companionship in that room. Everyone is welcomed, everyone is included, and everyone leaves with a smile.

This is exactly why opportunities like this matter so much — connection, laughter and shared moments can make such a difference to someone’s wellbeing.

Today, one of our carers spent time with our client, S, helping sort out the bird feed and her cat bits. Noticing her flowers had passed their best, she picked up some fresh ones to brighten the room 🌸
