MMRV is now part of the NHS routine childhood vaccination programme, replacing the MMR vaccine.

It protects against measles, mumps, rubella and chickenpox.

Chickenpox is very common and can sometimes lead to serious complications, so vaccination helps reduce the risk of serious illness as children grow.

You don’t need to do anything — your GP will be in touch when your child is due.

From tomorrow, Monday 5 January, there will be small changes to park and ride services at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells hospitals.

At Maidstone Hospital, the H1 bus will be replaced by Streamline buses.

The shuttle buses are smaller than the Arriva buses, and are grey and black. There will be ‘park and ride’ signs in the front of the buses, so they are easy to identify.

At Tunbridge Wells Hospital, the H3 bus will be replaced by the 277.

The bus will be free to everyone between Knight’s Park and the hospital, but if you are travelling on the 277 outside this area, you will need to pay for a ticket.

You can find more information, including timetables, at www.mtw.nhs.uk/parking
