Monday Earthy Green Lunch!! 😍😍

Today I felt I needed pure nourishment and depth, so I put together: woodland mushrooms, peas, spinach, buckwheat spaghetti, garlic, silky olive oil, and a punch of living kimchi.

The flavours? Outstanding!!

🍄 Deep, umami richness from the mushrooms
🧄 Warm, aromatic garlic infusing every strand
🌱 Fresh sweetness from peas and spinach
🌶️ A tangy, probiotic kick from kimchi
🌾 Nutty, grounding buckwheat tying it all together

But this isn’t just about taste! This meal supports:
• Immune resilience (mushrooms + garlic)
• Gut health (kimchi’s beneficial bacteria)
• Blood sugar balance (buckwheat’s low glycaemic profile)
• Iron and magnesium intake (spinach + greens)
• Healthy lipid profile for cardiovascular health (extra virgin olive oil rich in monounsaturated fats and polyphenols)

It’s the kind of meal that feels both grounding and energising, deeply satisfying yet light.

Always remember:
Food as medicine.
Food as ritual.
Food as self-respect. 💚

⚘️🌿 My top 5 plants to open the heart and let love in!

February always feels like an invitation to tend the heart — not just romantically, but physiologically, emotionally, and energetically.

Here are the plants I reach for during this month:

🌸 Dicentra (Bleeding Heart) flower essence
For releasing attachment patterns and softening heartbreak without closing down. It supports loving without self-abandonment.

🌹 Rosa damascena distilled water
Rose regulates the nervous system and supports cardiovascular tone. Energetically, it restores receptivity and self-worth. I love it as a heart mist or taken internally in small amounts.

🔥 Turnera diffusa (Damiana)
A warming nervine and aphrodisiac that improves circulation, lifts mild melancholia, and reconnects pleasure with emotional openness.

🍫 Ceremonial cacao + a pinch of cayenne
Cacao’s theobromine gently dilates blood vessels and increases heart circulation. Cayenne amplifies peripheral flow and warmth. Together, they create clarity, expansion, and embodied presence.

The heart is not just symbolic — it’s vascular, neurological, relational, and spiritual.
And this is why I love working with plants.
They don’t pry the heart open.
They warm it.
They nourish it.
They remind it how to beat in rhythm with love.

This week is being mainly dedicated to researching and writing my dissertation for my final year in Herbal Medicine.

The topic is on 3 major Neurodegenetative and 2 Neuroimmune + degenerative conditions, their biomedical pathology and (very limited) conventional treatments vs preventative and restoring management with nutrition, lifestyle, supportive therapy and herbs.

Herbs from the Western Herbal Medicine tradition spanning from Discorides to our modern days, along with the most recent Random Control Trials to confirm their traditional use, along with herbs from Ayurvedic and TCM traditions.

3 main Medicinal Mushrooms have been thoroughly explored for their role in preventing or reducing neuroinflammation and oxidative stress.

The amount of dedication that I have pouring on these researches is impossible to express in words and I am so looking forward to complete it.

It will be the backbone of a book that I intend to publish.

Your heart is more than a pump.
It’s in constant conversation with your nervous system, your gut, your metabolism, and your emotional world.
Chronic stress alters autonomic balance.
Low-grade inflammation influences vascular health.
Gut dysbiosis can amplify systemic inflammatory signals.
And emotional load leaves measurable traces in heart rhythm and resilience.
Modern research is clear:
heart health is not a single metric — it’s a systems conversation.
When we move beyond symptoms and look at how these systems interact,
we open the door to more meaningful, sustainable change.
Understanding the heart is one thing.
Understanding how your nervous system, gut, and emotional load affect it is where real change begins.

If this resonates, you’re welcome to explore this work further with me.

Did you know mushrooms contain a rare antioxidant you can’t make yourself?
Alongside their better-known compounds, mushrooms are the only meaningful dietary source of a very peculiar amino acid called ergothioneine.

✨ Ergothioneine is a sulfur-based antioxidant that your body actively transports into cells — which already tells us how important it is.
Unlike glutathione, you cannot synthesise it at all. You can ONLY get it from mushrooms.

Here’s where it gets fascinating 👇
When your cells are under stress, mitochondria produce free radicals and glutathione gets rapidly depleted. While glutathione regenerates, ergothioneine switches on, stepping in as a backup antioxidant to protect the cell.

Even smarter?
🧠 Ergothioneine stays inactive in healthy cells and only becomes active in acidic, stressed environments — exactly where damage is happening.

🌱 Plants don’t make ergothioneine.
They only contain traces if they absorb it from fungi in the soil — up to 100× less than mushrooms.

🥇 Highest sources include: Yellow oyster, oyster, porcini, shiitake, lion’s mane.
If longevity has a missing nutrient… it may well be found in mushrooms 🍄

Varnish Conk & Imbolc Energy 🍄✨

This mushroom essence supports authenticity helping you step away from old roles, expectations, and conditioning that no longer feel true.

With Imbolc marking the return of light, and the Full Moon in Leo illuminating the heart, this is a powerful moment to ask:
Am I living from my truth, or from what’s expected of me?

Varnish Conk works energetically with boundaries and inner authority.
It supports you in reconnecting with what genuinely matters and having the courage to act on it.

Leo energy reminds us that we’re allowed to take up space.

Imbolc reminds us that new paths don’t need to be rushed — just tended.

✨ Use this essence if you’re ready to:
• follow what lights you up
• release external pressure
• trust your inner direction
• express yourself more freely

Let your light return — naturally, honestly, and on your own terms.

Iridology is a holistic assessment that looks at the iris to understand what’s happening inside the body — physically and emotionally.

🔹 Physical Iridology
The iris acts like a map of the body, revealing areas of weakness, inflammation, congestion, and stress. It offers early insight into digestive health, detox pathways, constitutional strength, and lifestyle needs — often before symptoms fully appear.

🔹 Emotional Iridology
Our bodies remember what our minds may forget. Emotional iridology explores how long-held stress, trauma, and inherited emotional patterns are reflected through the nervous system and the eyes, influencing immunity, hormones, energy, and digestion.

Iridology doesn’t diagnose disease.
It helps uncover root causes, offering a personalised roadmap to support your body’s natural healing intelligence.

✨ Every iris tells a story.
✨ Physical. Emotional. Unique.

Homeopathy has been used worldwide for over 200 years, yet some still dismiss it with the same two claims, which quite frankly sound like a broken record: 1) “there’s no evidence” and 2) "it’s just placebo.”

1) Hundreds of studies exist, including randomised controlled trials, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses. Organisations like the Homeopathy Research Institute maintain extensive research databases, accessisble to the public, with the updated RCTs and meta-analyses.

Homeopathy is also not fringe medicine. It is regulated or integrated into healthcare systems globally. Medical doctors have been practising it for decades across Europe, like in Germany, France, Italy and Romania. In India, it is a fully state-recognised medical system with national hospitals and universities. In Cuba, it is used within public healthcare and as prophylaxis in infectious diseases.

In the UK, homeopathy was part of mainstream medicine for much of the twentieth century, with NHS hospitals treating thousands of patients.

2) The placebo argument? It fails to explain consistent outcomes in animals, infants, and young children—groups incapable of expectation or belief.

Ignoring evidence, history, and real-world clinical use is simply based on biased pharmaceutical profits fuelled campaigns.
