What began as a gentle wander around the garden at Bramley House to see how our bulbs were doing soon turned into a little adventure with our neighbours.

We admired the last of the garden roses still in bloom and went on a mini-beast hunt among the rosemary before deciding to continue our walk into town.

Along the way, we stopped to say hello to a friendly neighbourhood cat, who had the most beautiful green eyes. 🐾🌿

🎄✨ Christmas Party at The Old Rectory ✨🎄

On Friday, residents at The Old Rectory came together with friends and family to celebrate a wonderful Christmas party filled with festive cheer.

The lovely Tina Jay entertained everyone with some fantastic singing, getting toes tapping and spirits lifted 🎶.

Santa also made a special appearance 🎅, bringing a gift for every resident and plenty of smiles along the way.

We were also treated to a delicious festive buffet, prepared by our cook, Shelly.

🎄✨ Christmas Party at Millbrook House ✨🎄

Family and friends joined our wonderful residents at Millbrook House for a truly magical Christmas celebration. Everyone tucked into a delicious festive buffet filled with sandwiches, sausage rolls, sausages on sticks, and of course, mince pies to finish!

The excitement continued with a very special surprise visit from Santa himself 🎅, who arrived with a gift for every single resident.

After a short rest, the festivities carried on with the fantastic David Toone, who had everyone singing along to favourite Christmas classics, film hits, and timeless melodies like Danny Boy. The residents sang their hearts out, impressing David with their tuneful voices and perfect recall of every word.

The afternoon ended with rapturous applause and lots of festive cheer, a Christmas party to remember! 🎶🎁🎄

Bramley House residents had a visit from Sugar and her best friend, Wonky.

As well as sharing special quiet moments with this sweet Shetland pony, residents opened up and shared memories of childhood adventures and experiences.

Millbrook House welcomed some very special visitors this week, Christmas ponies from Blandford Animal Sanctuary! 🐴🎄
Dressed in their festive finest, the ponies brought lots of smiles and Christmas cheer. Residents enjoyed meeting them, giving them a gentle stroke, and learning all about each pony’s unique personality and heart-warming backstory.

🎄 Yesterday at The Old Rectory, we were treated to a truly festive delight as the Songbirds Ladies Choir came to visit. They filled the room with beautiful Christmas melodies and even invited us to join in with some joyful singalongs. At the weekend, Millbrook House enjoyed a very special Carol Service, led by Rev. Andrew Gubbins and his ministry 🎄🎵

Several residents took part by reading passages, and everyone joined in singing much-loved carols including Silent Night and O Come, All Ye Faithful. Residents were accompanied on the house piano, with Rev. Gubbins adding beautiful clarinet accompaniment.

Rev. Gubbins commented on how joyful and enthusiastic the singing was, a sentiment shared by all who attended.

A truly uplifting and festive celebration for everyone involved.
