What is reiki ? Have you tried it? Maybe you practice it?
Reiki healing is a complementary , energy therapy that originated by Dr Usui , in Japan in the early 20th century. It’s based on the idea that a practitioner can channel universal life energy (“Reiki”) to support the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
Of course healing hands have been part of healing throughout history. Our ancient America Indians , Egyptian ancestors , the wise women & beyond .
Reiki can help with so many things:
• Stress and anxiety reduction
• Relaxation and sleep support
• Emotional balance
• Coping with pain or chronic illness
• General wellbeing and self-confidence
From a traditional Reiki perspective, illness or distress is linked to blocked or imbalanced energy. Reiki aims to restore balance.
From a scientific perspective, benefits are usually explained through:
• Deep relaxation activating the parasympathetic nervous system
• Reduced stress hormones
• Mind–body effects similar to meditation or gentle touch therapies.
When I began my reiki journey , I had no idea , beyond what I was taught , just how powerful a treatment reiki can be, if you truly work with the universal energy.
