Relax With Lucy & Co was set up to offer well-being and mental health support through the provision of mindfulness & relaxation interventions. The organisation was set up by our founder Lucy Livesey - mental health nurse and bereaved mother following the loss of her daughter Ellie in 2017. Lucy and our team of instructors deliver projects to help support the baby loss community through the develop

ment of mindfulness & relaxation resources. We offer both well-being baby loss tailored support in addition to general well-being support to help people improve their overall sense of wellbeing. All proceeds raised, goes into our Ellie's Gift Project fund which funds all our baby loss interventions and the ongoing maintenance of our Ellie's Gift app.

💜 A little pause this month…

Our monthly mindfulness session will be taking a short break in August, as Lucy takes some well deserved time to rest and recharge.

We’ll be back together again on Thursday 4th September at 7pm on Zoom, ready to gently reconnect and ground ourselves as we head into a new season.

In the meantime, we hope you can find little pockets of calm and presence in your own way. Whether that’s a quiet moment with a cuppa, a walk in nature, or just taking a few deep breaths. 💜

Don’t forget! You can always access our previous relaxation sessions on the Ellie’s Gift YouTube channel.

🌿 Pressing pause…

This August, Lucy is taking some much-needed time to rest, reflect, and recharge after a busy few months working hard behind the scenes.

With some exciting new support offerings on the way (we can’t wait to share more ver soon!), it’s the perfect time for a little breather before the next chapter of Ellie’s Gift begins.

📸 This photo of Lucy at the monkey zoo is a reminder that moments of joy, adventure, and stillness can exist alongside grief and that it’s ok to take time just for YOU.

If things feel heavy right now, know that it’s enough to simply focus on this moment. Take a walk, breathe in some fresh air, notice something small and beautiful.

Take everything one moment at a time.

After losing a baby, even the smallest acts of care can feel like deep breaths in a storm.

We asked our community: What gives you a moment of self care?
Here’s what they shared 💬

✨ Sipping a favorite drink
✨ Going for a walk in nature
✨ Listening to music that holds space for the feelings
✨ Journaling

There’s no “right way” to grieve, and certainly no timeline. But there is tenderness in taking care of ourselves, even in the smallest ways.

If you feel like sharing —
what’s one thing that helps you feel a little more held these days?

It's been great to see more coverage for Ellie's Gift recently. Here we are featured in woman's own magazine. Ellie's Gift is a baby loss free app that supports families through the birth of a baby that has died l, it provides practical advice, emotional support, mental health guidance and additional signposting services. We are not an aftercare service but a service that provides support for that critical and short lived period when families have been told their baby has died and are taken through the next steps.

Our app is being advocated across many NHS trusts now here in the UK and is continuously growing and developing.

We are currently working on our TFMR section once again to provide more tailored support for the families that use it.

This app has been developed through my own lived experience of baby loss and birth, from the families who have lived experience and also with clinical input too.

Watch this space for more developments and thankyou for your ongoing support 🫶

Relax With Lucy & Co

Relax with Lucy & Co was set up in 2017 by Lucy who is a Mental Health Nurse & Well-being Practitioner. We are a not for profit organisation and our mission is to improve the wellbeing of individuals during the antenatal and postnatal period. We aim to empower individuals, enabling them to feel happier and healthier through the application of wellbeing based interventions.

Lucy (top middle)- Lucy is the founder of Relax with Lucy & Co, a mental health nurse & well-being practitioner. She teaches meditation, mindfulness and hypnobirthing. Lucy’s first interest in well-being developed some years ago when she experienced anxiety first-hand and she wanted to seek out ways in which to help herself feel calmer. It was through her own self discovery that Lucy went onto complete additional training to be able to teach people to find a sense of calm and balance. Lucy is able to do this through her work as a nurse, birth worker and meditation instructor. Lucy is warm, caring, compassionate and continues to learn and develop.

Michelle (top left) – Michelle has a background in holistic therapy and has a strong passion for the promotion of well-being. Over recent years she has completed various training courses and works as a reflexologist, reiki practitioner and breast feeding support worker alongside her role at Relax with Lucy & Co. She continues to develop her own knowledge in the world of mindfulness & meditation which has been transformative for her and uses her knowledge and expertise when working with people from all different backgrounds. Michelle is empathetic, caring and compassionate and her passion is strong for helping others. She uses her own life experience both on a personal and professional level when working with people which really enables her to relate and connect on a deeper level.

Rachel (top right) – Rachel works as a holistic therapist alongside her role at Relax with Lucy & Co.Her journey into the holistic world has helped guide Rachel towards the benefits of meditation. She has felt a natural calling towards mindfulness from an early age and holds a passion for meditation and all things well being. Rachel has undergone further training to teach meditation and continues to deepen her knowledge around meditation and mindfulness, ensuring she is deepening her own practice. Rachel’s dedication towards her own well-being as well as the well-being of others, really shines through when she is working with people from various backgrounds. She is genuinely lovely, caring and accepting of anyone. She has a natural ability when connecting with others and helping them is her true goal.
