Relax With Lucy & Co was set up to offer well-being and mental health support through the provision of mindfulness & relaxation interventions. The organisation was set up by our founder Lucy Livesey - mental health nurse and bereaved mother following the loss of her daughter Ellie in 2017. Lucy and our team of instructors deliver projects to help support the baby loss community through the development of mindfulness & relaxation resources. We offer both well-being baby loss tailored support in addition to general well-being support to help people improve their overall sense of wellbeing. All proceeds raised, goes into our Ellie's Gift Project fund which funds all our baby loss interventions and the ongoing maintenance of our Ellie's Gift app.

This Christmas Eve, we invite you to join us for a special moment of remembrance and connection đź’ś

Lucy will be holding space for our community during a LIVE Christmas Eve Meditation, honouring the memory of our babies with care and tenderness.

During the session, the names of the babies on our Tree of Remembrance will be read aloud — each one held in love and remembered. These names were shared by families who donated to Ellie’s Gift this month in their baby’s memory.

We will also be announcing the hospital that will receive a bundle of A Mindful Approach to Grief and Baby Loss books, nominated by the families who donated.

💜 Live on the Ellie’s Gift YouTube channel
🕓 4pm & 🕣 8.30pm
🎥 The session will be saved to watch back

Whether you join us live or later, you are so welcome. You are not alone, and your baby is remembered at Christmas and always đź’ś

The week before Christmas can be one of the hardest.
When the world feels loud with celebrations and expectations, our grief can feel even heavier and more isolating.

Our Baby Loss Connection Meditation was created as a soft place to land. This track offers you a moment to breathe, to feel what you need to feel, and to remember that you are not alone.
Guided with tenderness, it offers a quiet sanctuary to sit with your emotions and feel connected to others who walk this same path of love and loss.

If today feels hard, if you’re missing your baby deeply, or if you just need a few gentle minutes for yourself — this is here for you 💜

✨ This Christmas, Ellie’s Gift might be the gentlest present you could give — or receive. ✨

Whether you’re looking for something meaningful to ask for, choosing to gift yourself a moment of connection, or wanting to support a friend who is navigating life after loss… our book, A Mindful Approach to Grief & Baby Loss, has been described as “life changing” and a source of light in the darkest days. 💜

And with every purchase, you’re also helping us shine that same light for other families.

This month, through our Tree of Remembrance, created in loving memory of our babies, we’re raising funds to donate more books to those who need them most.

There’s still time to join in — a £2 donation added to our tree by 12pm on Friday 12th December helps us place another book into the hands of a grieving family.

✨ To join in ✨

✨ Donate £2 (or whatever feels right) via PayPal, to help us reach more families who need our support.

✨ Leave your baby’s name/s in the notes and
Nominate a hospital to receive copies of our book, A Mindful Approach to Grief & Baby Loss, in honour of all our babies

✨ We’ll add a bauble to the tree in your baby’s honour, and their name will be read out during our Christmas Eve remembrance mindfulness session with Lucy.

Every donation will help us gift copies of our books to one hospital chosen at random from your nominations — a beautiful way to pass comfort forward in your babies’ names.

We know that the weeks before Christmas can stir up so many feelings — longing, overwhelm, love, grief, and everything in between. You don’t have to hold it all by yourself.

On Thursday our December mindfulness drop-in with Lucy returns.
✨ Thursday 5th December
✨ 7pm on Zoom

This gentle space is here to help you pause and breathe during a season that can feel both beautiful and painfully heavy. Together we’ll move through:

• A soft, welcoming check-in
• A guided mindfulness practice to ground you
• A supportive sharing circle for those who want to speak
• A closing loving-kindness meditation to carry into the festive season

There’s no pressure to talk; simply an invitation to rest, connect, and feel held as Christmas approaches.

You are not alone. We’re here with you. Always 💜

For so many bereaved parents, Christmas heightens the longing for the one thing we can’t wrap or place under a tree- the gift of our baby’s memory being acknowledged.

This season can make their absence feel sharper, and the silence around their name even heavier. At Ellie’s Gift, we want you to know that your baby matters. Their story matters. You matter.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be honouring our little ones together. Sharing ways to include them, creating space for grief, and reminding each other that our babies are never forgotten here.

If your heart is aching for someone to recognise the love you carry, you’re not alone. We see your baby with you. And we’re holding space for their memory, this Christmas and always. 💜

Two weeks ago Stacy, our Hospital Coordinator, had the privilege of visiting Leighton Hospital’s Maternity Unit to deliver a set of Ellie’s Gift books written by our founder Lucy Livesey.

These books weren’t just donations - they were acts of love. Each one was gifted by a family who has walked the painful path of loss and wanted to reach out to others with kindness, compassion, and understanding.

Inside every book is a small sticker, but with a big meaning: the name of the precious child in whose memory it was donated. Their stories, their presence, and their love continue to ripple outward, offering comfort to parents who may be facing some of the hardest moments of their lives.

During the visit, Stacy spent time with the beteavement midwife and the Fetal medicince team talking about how these books - along with the Ellie’s Gift app - can support families before, during, and after loss. The staff were warm, welcoming, and deeply appreciative of the resources. It’s clear how much they care about the families they look after, and it was an honour to connect with them.

💜 If you’d like to help place these books into more maternity and bereavement units, families can donate a minimum of 15 books for £55, choosing the hospital that matters most to them.

You can find more information on our book donations here- https://www.ellies.gift/our-shop/p/donate-a-bundle-of-ellies-gift-books-to-a-hospital

When everything feels heavy, the simplest thing we can return to is our breath. đź’ś

Our 5–7 Breath is a grounding technique you can use anytime your mind feels full or your body feels tense.

Inhale softly through your nose for 5.
Exhale slowly through your mouth for 7.

The longer out-breath helps your nervous system settle, creating a little more space inside you, space to feel, to pause, to steady yourself.

Whether you’re navigating waves of grief, overwhelm, or just a difficult moment, this is a small practice you can carry with you anywhere.

Take it at your own pace.
You deserve gentleness today. đź’ś

✨ You can access further mindfulness support by visiting the audio tracks on our website or joining on of our many relaxation sessions on our YouTube page ✨

We’re so proud to introduce the people who support and guide Ellie’s Gift. A team rooted in compassion, lived experience, and expertise.

At the heart of our work are our founders, Lucy and Rick, parents to their daughter Ellie. With over two decades of combined NHS and private healthcare experience, and a deep personal understanding of baby loss, they lead our day-to-day work and shape all that we do.

Alongside them, we’re grateful to have the support of our Non-Executive Directors, Jessica and Paul, who bring independent oversight, specialist expertise, and thoughtful guidance as we continue to grow. They help strengthen our strategy ensuring Ellie’s Gift remains safe, sustainable, and grounded.

We’re also supported by our Advisors, Ian and Nick, who offer expert insight in their specialist fields. Their advisory guidance helps us develop our services with care, clarity, and confidence.

Each person brings something unique- lived experience, professional knowledge, or specialist leadership — but together we share one purpose: supporting families through baby loss with compassion, understanding, and accessible tools.

We’re incredibly grateful for this team, and we’re honoured to introduce them to you 💜

Relax With Lucy & Co

Relax with Lucy & Co was set up in 2017 by Lucy who is a Mental Health Nurse & Well-being Practitioner. We are a not for profit organisation and our mission is to improve the wellbeing of individuals during the antenatal and postnatal period. We aim to empower individuals, enabling them to feel happier and healthier through the application of wellbeing based interventions.

Lucy (top middle)- Lucy is the founder of Relax with Lucy & Co, a mental health nurse & well-being practitioner. She teaches meditation, mindfulness and hypnobirthing. Lucy’s first interest in well-being developed some years ago when she experienced anxiety first-hand and she wanted to seek out ways in which to help herself feel calmer. It was through her own self discovery that Lucy went onto complete additional training to be able to teach people to find a sense of calm and balance. Lucy is able to do this through her work as a nurse, birth worker and meditation instructor. Lucy is warm, caring, compassionate and continues to learn and develop.

Michelle (top left) – Michelle has a background in holistic therapy and has a strong passion for the promotion of well-being. Over recent years she has completed various training courses and works as a reflexologist, reiki practitioner and breast feeding support worker alongside her role at Relax with Lucy & Co. She continues to develop her own knowledge in the world of mindfulness & meditation which has been transformative for her and uses her knowledge and expertise when working with people from all different backgrounds. Michelle is empathetic, caring and compassionate and her passion is strong for helping others. She uses her own life experience both on a personal and professional level when working with people which really enables her to relate and connect on a deeper level.

Rachel (top right) – Rachel works as a holistic therapist alongside her role at Relax with Lucy & Co.Her journey into the holistic world has helped guide Rachel towards the benefits of meditation. She has felt a natural calling towards mindfulness from an early age and holds a passion for meditation and all things well being. Rachel has undergone further training to teach meditation and continues to deepen her knowledge around meditation and mindfulness, ensuring she is deepening her own practice. Rachel’s dedication towards her own well-being as well as the well-being of others, really shines through when she is working with people from various backgrounds. She is genuinely lovely, caring and accepting of anyone. She has a natural ability when connecting with others and helping them is her true goal.
