4D Enterprises CIC is a new company to be formed by 2 former managers from Remploy Building Products. It will continue to manufacture PVC windows and Doors and provide sustainable employment, training and apprenticeships for disabled, dis-advantaged, disaffected and dis-connected groups from the Local Borough. The company will be run as a commercial social enterprise (Community Interest Company) g
enerating profits that will be used to benefit employees, the local community and a host of other worthwhile local causes. With the support and expertise of Oldham Council, Oldham Business Leadership Group and Social Enterprise North West, 4D Enterprises intends to become a key social enterprise in the local community. Initially employing 25 people with the hard work, passion and commitment shown by the Management Team this will enable 4D Enterprises to transform the lives and opportunities for many more groups of people. Our Basic Core Principles
The management team have determined that there are a number of principles upon which the business will be built upon. We feel that these principles will be the basis upon which the culture of the organisation will be formed so it is important that these principles are known and understood by all in the organisation. We have termed this our Basic Core Principles
1. We are a Social Enterprise
2. We will incubate people, ideas and business and help people into direct and indirect employment.
3. Our target groups to help are Disability, Disadvantaged, Disaffected and Disconnected (4D)
4. We will form and manage strong links with the Private sector locally and Public sector locally.
5. We will always employ a minimum number of target group members of the community.
6. We will measure the local need for employment amongst our target groups.
7. We will assess our target group and ensure we are meeting their needs against a series of simple measures.
8. We will be Profitable and Sustainable
9. We will always reinvest a % of our profits back into the core operation and new spinoff social organisations
10. We will never drop below 50% employment within our target group.
