Movement snacks are short, bite-sized bursts of physical activity which typically last between 30 seconds and a few minutes. They are a great way to spread activity throughout the day and are easier to fit in than a longer exercise session. Perfect if you work from home with a desk-based job.

Movement snacks can also give you a quick burst of energy and endorphins – the brain’s ‘feel-good’ chemicals. Why not try this week’s movement snack whilst boiling the kettle, or set a time for a minute or two, between meetings.

Hello February 😊

Looking back January’s been a busy month.

💪 Pilates classes in Chapeltown have been busy. I love bringing a group of people together and helping them move more and hearing the buzz of conversation before and after class. Almost 2 years on it’s now a community and here’s to our next social.
🎥 The Wellness Barn virtual studio is growing in membership and content. Love how this is adding to class participants Pilates practice. It’s also a great way to fit movement into busy working days, when it suits you, or bring a movement of calm with meditation or a quick brain hack to reduce stress.
☕️ Plus my new Monday motivation - movement snacks. Stay tuned.
🧠 Personally I’ve completed a 31 days intention setting meditation challenge 🙌. Plus my non-negotiables of movement, journaling and meditation.

I totally get it!!

📌 But this is your midweek reminder of the positive effects of moving - especially if you have a desk-job and also the benefits of Pilates on your mental health and wellbeing.
