Weekend reflections ☀️
A lovely weekend. The little one (the dog on the left pic) was 2 on Saturday so we went to a fabulous dog adventure park.
Plus a little trip to the garden centre. I bought lettuce and spinach which I’ve potted up and looking forward to adding to my sandwich later 😋

Some of you may know that as well as running my Pilates & Wellness business, I work in the corporate world of learning and development.

I attended a workshop yesterday about adjacent learning - where skills we learn outside of work, help us in work. I could relate to this with the two hats I wear.

When completing my Pilates teacher qualification being able to stand in front of a room and confidently give instructions helped massively. Plus all I have learnt about adult learning, learning design and delivery, I use when putting together my Wellness Workshops.

I also have real experience of the stress and struggles of juggling work and home. Trying to find time and energy to exercise. The aches and pains from a desk-based job. Plus trying to create that work/life balance. All of which helps me to help you!

Movement snacks are short, bite-sized bursts of physical activity which typically last between 30 seconds and a few minutes. They are a great way to spread activity throughout the day and are easier to fit in than a longer exercise session. Perfect if you work from home with a desk-based job.

Movement snacks can also give you a quick burst of energy and endorphins – the brain’s ‘feel-good’ chemicals. Why not try this week’s movement snack whilst boiling the kettle, or set a time for a minute or two, between meetings.

Hello - thought I’d share my reflections of the day.
Started off attending a fabulous MIB group, where I met other women in business - a photographer, accountant, pastry chef and more. It’s always great to connect and hear others story. Plus there was a great talk on social media.
Also found out I’ve passed my Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Awards (CAVA) and then finished off with a Pilates class.
