                                            We are a quality homecare provider that designs and delivers domiciliary care, specialist homecare and complex care services to adults and the elderly people in various areas of Sheffield (S2, S5, S12, S13, S20).
We are currently in search for new experienced or unexperienced home care workers to join our fabulous team and help improve the lives of the vulnerable and elderly people in the comfort of their own homes. We are looking for committed individuals who can take responsibility for the well-being of the individuals we support, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. For newcomer’s, a full comprehensive training is provided to unexperienced workers & if you’ve experienced any domiciliary carer work either in a care home, NHS care or in private care that would be useful, but you’ll undergo a further full additional training to give the best possible start.
About the role:
As one of our domiciliary carers, you’ll care and support our customers in their own homes in a variety of ways, based on their individual circumstances. You’ll get to know the people you’re caring for and understand exactly what they want and need, helping them achieve things that they wouldn’t be able to do by themselves, allowing them to live independently. By listening and understanding, you’ll treat all our customers with dignity, patience, and compassion, developing therapeutic relationships based on trust and reassurance.
Daily duties of care & support needed are to give non-discriminatory care and support that values the diverse and unique qualities of each service user. Carefully listen and observe how service users prefer their care and support to be delivered on a day-to-day basis. Help them make their own decisions and to be as independent as possible. Follow instructions in the care and support plan which has been agreed with each service user this might include personal care such as:
· Showering & bathing
· Dressing & grooming
· Toileting & continence care
· Teeth & dentures
· Encouraging, reminding, assisting & giving medicines
· Ordering & collecting prescriptions
· Returning unwanted medicines to the pharmacy for disposal
· Helping the service user to plan their meals
· Shopping, preparing, and serving food and drinks
· Cleaning, washing up & tidying living areas
· Using walking frames & wheelchairs, manual & electrical hoists
· Sliding sheets & moving boards
· Hearing aids & other physical aids
