I AM NOT A MUHAMMADAN - As far as I am concerned there is nothing in the Quraan/Koran that tells you when to eat , not to eat etc, people get this eat at 1st prayer then again at last prayer because they BELIEVE or they HEARD this was how The Prophet (pbuh) fasted.
Well....I have done my research and The Quraan/ Koran has no set way for us to fast. And personally if I follow Muhammad (pbuh) in this instance I am doing my body more harm than good. Me PERSONALLY. Fore my life schedule does not make it. What the Quran/Koran states and I quote:
"
Below are 5 Ramadan Quotes from The Holy Quran.
"O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous" -- Surat Al-Baqarah 2:183
With the above verse, the Holy Quran makes it clear that fasting was ordained compulsory on all Muslims and that they have to fast if they are to stay righteous.
"...But to fast is best for you, if you only knew." -- Surat Al-Baqarah 2:184
In those days some might question the benefits of fasting apart from blessings. Science and medicine today have all but confirmed that there are numerous health benefits to fasting for a month in a year. It is a great way to cleanse the stomach and also has many health benefits for the brain.
"The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful." -- Surat Al-Baqarah 2:185
One of the stand out features of the month of Ramadan is that the Holy Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) during this time. This book of guidance is an invaluable treasure trove of information on how to live life as a good Muslim to this day.
"Allah is with those who restrain themselves." -- Quran 16: 128
Fasting teaches restraint; the ability to control worldly desires and spend time in prayer and meditation. Fasting is a noble act that is much beloved by Allah (SWT).
"Allah has made Laylat al-Qadr in this month, which is better than a thousand months, as Allaah says...The Night of Al-Qadr is better than a thousand months. Therein descend the angels and the Rooh [Jibreel (Gabriel)] by Allaah's Permission with all Decrees, there is peace until the appearance of dawn." -- Al-Qadar 97:1-5
Lailat-ul-Qadr is the prized jewel of Ramadan. This night carries more blessings than a thousand months. Muslims spend this night in prayer and meditation; to make dua and to seek forgiveness for past sins. There is salvation in this night; a chance to cleansed of all sins and reborn again.
Ramadan is a gift from Allah (SWT); an opportunity for Muslims to capitalize on and earn His blessings and a way to seek salvation and forgiveness. We should all make the most of it. Letβs all make this Ramadan the best Ramadan yet. "

Therefore I shall not partake in the fast as people follow what they believe Muhammad (pbuh) to have fasted like because that fast is not good for me. Yes our Prophet fasted, however, who can honestly say that that method of fasting is ideal for our bodies???? Because SCIENCE proves other wise.
Therefore, as a lover of the The Almighty, and a TRUST in the Divine Connection I personally hold....I am fasting in a way that is truly detoxing and beneficial to my mind, body, and soul, and cuts out that need and desire which one gets after not having nothing run through your mouth for 14 hours...π€¦π½βοΈ. Then stuffs ones face with the same toxic food stuff, does not have time to drink the right amount of water the body needs daily, then to sleep on a full stomach. Nope! Sorry, not for me for it does not resonate with my whole being. I need LOGIC....
I have tried the eat at sunrise and sunset way of fasting for 3 days now and can feel my energy depleting, my kidneys starting to scream at me and my pancreas is surely desperate for a rest at this time ------ therefore --- the dietary fasts and general fast I am undertaking now are obviously:
* No smoking or Intoxications
* No S*x
* No Sweets
* No Fast food
* Less mingling more solitude (nothing really going to change there lol)
However, I'm not going to fast the same as a man was said to have fasted if it's not healthy for me, even if that man is a Prophet and if I can fast in a way that is more beneficial, makes much more sense and still honours what is written in the Koran/Quraan I surely shall...
I give thanks for my younger cousin who came for his hair doing at the best time, for he told me about his own fruit fast, and gave me the nudge to investigate fruit fasting for myself, therefore...I am undertaking a....

DETOXING AND CLEANSING IS TO ME THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF FASTING.....
* I AM NOT A MUHAMMADAN *
The undeniable truth is there are people who wish to be like Muhammad (pbuh) and if they heard that he was able to run up a tree into its branches, there would be some total "fools" for want of a better word, that would be in casts right now because they too tried to run up a tree. Therefore, use discernment and your own divine connection to Allah (Swt) that is actually what the Quraan/Koran is telling you,
* I AM MUSLIM (Moslem) BY DEFINITION NOT RELIGION *
It is like praying......NO where in the Koran/Quran are there prayer times and names π€·π½βοΈ So who created this ritualistic routine??????? This is why I take no notice to those who say I am not a Muslim because I do Moon rituals when they ALSO involve themselves in MOON RITUALS . If the Moon is not important then why then is RAMADAN associated with the New Moon????
I shall await a response from someone on that........
All I am saying is to make this a time where it is the most beneficial to your whole being, and for the many years I have said this, Ramadan fasting is not about going without for a period of time during the day then indulging after hours. No. Well, surely it is not for me.
