A huge thanks to Salomon last week for bringing along the Ultra Glide 4 to our community groups.

A mixture of different terrains across Sheffield and plenty of great feedback for the all day trail cruisers. We even had the pleasure of some magical skylines as you can see.

Team Accelerate athletes have been busy the last couple weeks, with Len and Oliver taking on the ,and Garry doing the 🏃🏻‍♂️All 3 managed to smash their PB’s, showing off the hard work they have been putting in recently! Here is what they had to say about their races:

Oliver - “Massive confidence boost and In total 00:02:38 knocked off my 10k time in the 7 months I’ve been coached by stu 😁👍🏼” 36:58.

Len - “With a pre-race PB of 49.40 I was over the moon to take almost 2 mins off that with a finish of 47:47.
A tough run but helped by great support!”

Gary - “All things worked out and I managed to get cross the line in 1:28.49 which was a 3:20 PB from the Great North Run in 2024. Massive thank you to Stu for his coaching, counselling and belief, without it I will still be an injured runner, and not achieving what I did today. Also massive thank you to the team, it’s a fantastic group of people and a brilliant community to be in.”

A great couple weeks of racing with loads more to come this year!

Accelerate Trail Runners will be heading out on a sociable 6-7k route with plenty of stops to regroup throughout, making the most of the amazing trails in and around the Rivelin Valley. We've got our review team busy, testing and writing reviews on all types of shoes which will be out in due course. Team Accelerate Runner Alison has been on the roads with the Kinvara 16.

The Kinvara has been a staple here at Accelerate for many years and it’s well and truly back to its best with version 16. If you’re after a light, snappy non-plated shoe for everyday mileage to tempo sessions it is well worth a try.

Here's a snippet of what Alison had to say about it 'The Kinvara 16s felt great from the first run and didn’t need breaking in at all. This surprised me given they are slightly less cushioned than I am used to.'
