Citrus free community, trying to find products that are safe for use is a nightmare where you need a good magnifying glass, time & much patience to research the ingredient lists of everything & an internet link to see what's too insignificant to list on the packaging's ingredient list.

Its exhausting and for those of us dealing with hair & skin crisis it can be doubly infuriating.

Inecto has been my go to for years since I was unable to use my favourite hair products, it didn't stop the peri to post scalp itch but it did keep my hair condition in check. Since it's no longer available I've been looking like a scarecrow 🤨

Daughter has managed to find another oil 🎉🥳♥️ I lathered my head in it & the 5yr itch stopped, washed it several hours later & put a smaller amount on, still no itch & its citrus free.

Current migraine triggered by perfumed lady Thursday last 🙄
Just didn't get my mask in fast enough.

Were you the bendy child?
Double jointed?
Has anyone mentioned hypermobility to you?
Has anyone mentioned hEDS ?
It's worth looking into if you suffer with migraines, as is Mast Cell Activation Syndrome.

I'm interested to know what you discover & if you take it to your GP what's their reaction to this?

Pizotifen, I've just experienced forced withdrawal & it was horrific, not my choice, or my GP not even my neurologist.

The pharmacy was responsible for forcing me into abrupt cessation of my migraine medication.

On several occasions now, meds have been delayed, these help me breathe, control migraines & seizures, going without or cold turkey can be dangerous. I used to order meds within the order window (3 days) this was changed to 3-5 days, they were missing their dates, had a chat & they said order a week before you need them, unfortunately the NHS app won't let you order before the apps due date.

I ordered my meds on 6th, got a message on the 14th quite late in the day to say they were ready, I picked them up today 15th & handed back the Pizotifen as the constant fluctuations caused by late delivery was doing more harm than good. The withdrawal sent me into Status Migrainous, no pain relief worked, add in the cramps, dizziness, nausea, insomnia on top of my usual migraine symptoms- I was on the floor, actually in bed. Three days of amitriptyline to try & break the cycle along with every type of pain killer I had to hand has left me with reflux & still experiencing insomnia.

When I checked the dates on my meds it appears they had the important once by the 9th, the majority by the 10th, they were waiting for my Rizatriptan before telling me I could pick up my meds 🤬 I shouldn't have been left without my meds.

17th January Withdrawal is still having an effect on my body, though not what they class as primary & its lasting linger than the week to 10 days 🥵 my hands are on fire , itching , tingling & bright red in patches, the underlying nausea is doing nothing for my appetite

18th gritty itchy blurry eyes, random itchiness & nausea still, no appetite & day 2 of another migraine & ON attack 🙄

19th Nausea seeing more if the loo than necessary, still itching, eyes gritty, nose blocking & sticky

Professor Anne MacGregor is the name to Google alongside menopause & migraine, Migraine Ireland is the only place I've seen her video, posted several times on my page, had I not seen the video I wouldn't have had the courage & knowledge to tackle my old GP's outdated knowledge on prescribing HRT to migraineurs. Between them they made a difference to my life with migraine.

Looking for a Chlorine free indoor pool??

I used to swim regularly until perimenopause kicked in with my chlorine allergy, talking to my Dad earlier when I realised I hadn't been swimming in an indoor pool for about 22 yrs 😲

I miss swimming & when I get the opportunity I ask for people to let me know about any nearby indoor Ozone or saltwater pools, literally anything without chlorine near Sheffield or within an hours drive so that I can swim with my daughter.

As a migraineur I was led to believe that post menopause & HRT meant Migraine free, I'm still chronic, just not as chronic as I was before HRT & the ovaries ceased production. On the plus side, HRT has helped & I'm down from 25-30 high pain attack days per month to 15-20 medium to low pain days, my cognitive function though is still hit full on as is recall for simple words. This mornings word that escaped me was chisel, I was looking at one but could not name it until a minute ago 🙄 bloody annoying.

My HRT levels are as high as I'm allowed, they have given me a little freedom from frequent high level pain migraine attacks, they don't address the Occipital Neuralgia, arthritis or cramping but I try to navigate life through them & the add on symptoms that are popping up daily 😁

It may not be the whole if the fragrance, maybe its just a note that triggers you, citrus is one of mine & I feel like it's in everything under various names which all give me a migraine attack.
