Our Home

The best of both worlds, where care and caring come together

Loxley Court is a friendly care home providing high-quality nursing, respite, and dementia care. We have an excellent reputation for delivering person-centred support in a warm and inviting environment for people who are living with dementia, complex needs and/or mental health issues. Our support is provided by a committed and experienced team of nurses and carers with input from our consulting multidisciplinary medical team.

Dementia and Mental Health Specialist Care

Loxley Court is a three-story, lift-assisted home with a modern and welcoming environment. Located with easy access to the Northern General Hospital and the vibrant shopping hub of Meadowhall.

Our home is spacious enough for activities and events, with airy communal areas throughout but, with a homely and cosy feel. Our ladies and gentlemen are encouraged to be as active as they can, and we provide mentally stimulating and meaningful activities, led by a dedicated Activity Coordinator. The activities team work in conjunction with our consultant Occupational Therapist to evaluate effectiveness and participation levels. We aim to provide a warm and inviting home in which our ladies and gentlemen and their families, can relax and enjoy a healthy and enriching life.

We have excellent links with the local community, and we regularly meet with local groups, developing friendships and increasing wellbeing. Many of our ladies and gentlemen maintain their independence and are actively involved with these groups.

Philosophy of care

Our philosophy of care is to provide a first-rate service in a person-centred and holistic way. Everyone we care for is treated as an individual and is cared for with dignity, respect, and empathy.

We place great emphasis on developing an individual's skills rather than focusing on their diagnosis.

Short Term Respite Care

Caring for a loved one can be very rewarding, but we understand that it can also be both physically and emotionally draining. Taking a break and recharging your batteries is vital to your wellbeing and quality of life.

Loxley Court provides high-quality professional care for people living with dementia and complex care needs. Our respite service offers a temporary or a short-term home from home. Whether you need extra support while your love one recovers from an illness or operation, there is an emergency that you need to deal with, or you just need a well-earned break, we are here to support you. You can be assured that your loved one is in safe hands and is cared for in a friendly and inviting care home by our dedicated and experienced nursing and care teams.

Care is available from as short-term as a week to as long as a few months. We work around you and your loved one's needs and tailor our care to suit you.

Home essentials

Our home is spread over three floors and has lift access which aids accessibility for those with impaired mobility.

Each unit has a slightly different service model attached this is to enhance the specialist service provided on each, this allows for each person to be on the correct unit and have greater compatibility with the rest of the ladies and gentlemen.
