A reminder for the girlies comparing whilst scrolling
The algorithm rewards extremes.
So of course your feed is full of shredded physiques, insane, complicated workouts, people running 20-minute 5Ks, women blasting out pull-ups, “no excuses” mindsets and elite-level fitness
Meanwhile…
If you managed 2 workouts this week around work, stress and life? AMAZING
If you used to avoid the gym completely but now walk in confidently? YES!!
If you ran for 10 minutes without stopping for the first time? GO GIRL!!
If you just completed your first 5K? Incredibleeee
The average person genuinely cannot do that.
And the posts you see online smashing out pull-ups? Amazing, but many of them have trained for YEARS.
Social media rarely shows the beginner phase, the awkward stage, the rebuilding stage, the days motivation disappeared, the years it took to get there
Most people online are not showing “normal.” They’re showing exceptional.
And exceptional can inspire you… but it should never make you feel like your progress means nothing.
starting your journey is something to be proud of 🤍 and each step along the way
