****Flu and Covid vaccinations Autumn 2025****

We will be running a vaccination clinic on Saturday 4th October 2025 at Emmett Carr Surgery starting at 9am, this clinic will be for all eligible patients who are 65 years of age or older and patients who are in the at risk groups e.g diabetes, Asthma, heart failure, COPD .
We will be contacting patients to book appointments, but if you contact the surgery please ask about an appointment as clinics are set up.

PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SURGERY BY HAVING YOUR PRE ORDERED VACCINE WITH US … use the service or lose the service, we order your Vaccination a year in advance.

COVID BOOSTERS…. Patients who are 75 or over OR who are immunocompromised will be eligible for a covid booster these will be administered at the same time as the flu vaccine.

CHILD NASAL FLU VACCINES……
Children born between the dates of 1.9.21 to 31.8.23 will be able to have their nasal flu vaccine at the surgery. We will contact you to make an appointment. All other age groups will have their vaccination at school unless your child is in one of the at risk groups they will then be entitled to their vaccination at the surgery.

Next weekend, mobile phones across the UK will receive a test message as part of the national emergency alert system.

📱 At 3PM on Sunday 7th September 2025, phones connected to 4G and 5G networks will:

📳 Vibrate for up to 10 seconds

This is the second nationwide test, following the first in 2023. No action is needed – it's just a drill.

If you need an appointment on an evening or over a weekend, your GP Practice has access to prebookable appointments at alternative sites on Fridays (6:30pm to 8pm) and Saturdays (9am to 5pm)

Our telephone and clinical system at Eckington is currently down. This is a national problem . Our IT and telephone provider are working extremely hard to try to restore a connection. Renishaw surgery is working as normal.
