Just got back from another amazing facilitation of the La Jolla Encounter group in Honiton, England! 🌟

The La Jolla Program was founded in 1966 as part of American psychologist Carl Rogers’ work, bringing discoveries from his approach to personal psychotherapy to a format fostering further social and individual growth. We live in the original values and philosophies woven into this experience's fabric since its inception. Carrying this tradition into our sixth decade of practice, we now adapt to the challenges of the twenty-first century and the digital age.

I feel so blessed to be part of and facilitate such meaningful individual and group processes, forging amazing connections. A heartfelt thank you to all the participants and the fantastic team I’m working with: John Wilson, Will, Stillwell, and Keddie Burrows. You all make this journey so special. 🙏

We believe that by creating an environment where each person feels free to be themselves, in their uniqueness and in their own style of expression, everyone is more likely to experience a sense of belonging and deep connection – within themselves and with one another.

War and the Soul: A Remembrance Sunday Gathering for Men and Women Workshop with William Ayot and Simon Roe

For those In the midst of our relative comfort, the fabled horsemen of War, Famine, Pestilence and Death have crashed the party once again. Be it through war or internecine strife, the oncoming threat of shortage and hunger, or the ‘normalisation’ of climate change, we find ourselves challenged as never before.

How do we react to these vast and troubling changes? Do we go into denial, act out in agitated reaction, or settle for our forebears’ dull cloak of numbness?

Join poet William Ayot and psychotherapist Simon Roe as they help us to air our grief, explore the possibilities, and remember those we have lost over these last troubled and troubling years.
