✍ Walking Through All Conditions - Our walk takes us through sun and rain, dry roads and wet, through snow and warmth, through noise and blessed silence, through crowds and quiet solitude. Some days are gentle and kind. Some days ask more of us than we expected. Some days surprise us with unexpected beauty or unexpected challenges.

And isn't this just like all our lives?

There are times when everything flows smoothly, when the path ahead feels clear and our steps feel light. And there are times—perhaps some of us are facing this right now—when the road feels rough, when obstacles keep appearing, when we feel cold or tired or uncertain about what comes next, making it hard to take even one more step.

The weather of our lives changes without asking permission. Sunny moments give way to storms we didn't see coming. Ease gives way to struggle. Joy and difficulty sit side by side in our hearts. We cannot control these shifts, no matter how hard we try. We cannot demand that life only bring us gentle days.

But here is what we can do, and it changes everything: we can choose the path of peace for our minds, even when our circumstances feel anything but peaceful.

When we make this choice—when we gently commit to being mindful with our breath and our daily actions, when we practice being present instead of fighting what is—we discover something that feels like grace. We find a peace within that the changing conditions cannot shake, cannot steal, cannot destroy.

The rain still falls, but we are not swept away by it. The rough path still asks us to be brave, but we do not lose who we are. The noise still surrounds us, but we are not drowned by it. Because beneath all of it, there is something in us that remains steady, quiet, whole.

This is the peace that lives beneath all circumstances. It doesn't depend on perfect weather or smooth roads. It doesn't require everything to go our way. It simply asks that we show up for ourselves with kindness and mindfulness, breathe as consciously as we can, and meet whatever comes with gentleness instead of harsh judgment.

Life will bring sun and rain—that is simply its nature. But peace—true, lasting peace—is not found in controlling the weather around us or within us. It's found in learning to walk through all of it with minds that stay as grounded as we can, hearts that try to stay open, and spirits that whisper to us on the hardest days: this too shall pass, and we are still here, still breathing, still whole, still capable of choosing peace.

We are stronger than we know. And peace is closer than we think.
May you and all beings be well, happy, and at peace.

Hypnotherapy helps uncover and gently challenge the unconscious beliefs that keep us stuck. By working at a deeper level of the mind, it supports the release of old patterns, builds self-trust and creates space for more helpful, empowering beliefs to take root. Over time, this can lead to greater confidence, emotional freedom and a stronger sense of choice in how we respond to life.

The First Wolf Moon of 2026

I have seen so many lovely posts about the first Wolf Moon of the year. I took a photo from my window this morning but don't quite have the photography skills of other people!

🌕🐺

Rising on January 3, 2026, this is a powerful Supermoon in the sign of Cancer. It refers to the midwinter period when wolves were often heard howling loudly and frequently outside villages. It was believed that wolves howled more in January due to hunger during the cold, desolate winter months. Traditionally therefore, the Wolf Moon represents survival, deep intuition, and the strength of our inner "pack."

As the first moon of the year, it’s perfect for releasing 2025’s lingering "weight" and listening to gut feelings.
It's a time to connect with those closest to reinforce our support system.

I have been following the incredible story of the "Walk for Peace" - the group of Buddhist Monks walking 120 days across America - a 2300 mile journey to raise awareness of peace, loving kindness and compassion. You can follow them on the page below as they share regular updates walking through cities and the incredible American landscape. I love their wisdom in some of their posts - particularly this one about overcoming obstacles and being kind to yourself.

🙏 You may have seen this prayer we often share on our page: “May all beings be free from hatred, be healthy, be safe, be peaceful and at ease, and may they meet no obstacles in their daily lives.”

Sometimes a question arises in hearts that hear this: Does this mean we’re wishing for a life without difficulty? Without challenges? Without the need for courage and strength? We want to share what this prayer truly holds.

We’re not praying for life to become easy. We know—all of us know—that life brings what it brings. Loss comes. Heartbreak visits. Change arrives uninvited. No prayer can stop the rain from falling or make the road short. This is simply the nature of being alive, and we don’t ask for it to be otherwise.

What we’re praying for is something far more profound: May we all see clearly that the real obstacle is never the situation itself, but only how our minds meet it.

When our minds are tangled with fear, clouded by anger, or grasping at what cannot be held, every challenge feels like an insurmountable wall. Every difficulty looks like the end of our path.

But when our minds rest at peace, when we cultivate mindfulness like tending a garden, something beautiful unfolds. The walls we thought were solid begin to dissolve like mist in morning sun. We stop seeing difficulties as obstacles blocking our way and begin to see them simply as part of the path we’re walking—not enemies to fight, but conditions to move through with grace.

The venerable monks show us this truth every day on this walk. Rain falls, cold bites, miles stretch long, uncertainty lingers—yet these are not obstacles to them. They are simply the path. And so they keep walking, steady and calm, present with what is.

This is what we offer in our prayer: not a life free from difficulty, but a mind free from seeing difficulty as an obstacle. When we find this kind of peace within ourselves, we discover true freedom—not the absence of challenges, but the presence of an unshakeable calm that walks with us through everything. May we all find this peace. May we all know this freedom.

May you and all beings be happy and at peace. 🙏✨

I have seen many clients over the last few years who are undergoing treatment for cancer. Reiki, combined with Hypnotherapy, is a gentle treatment that can work alongside conventional treatment, supporting the body's natural abilities to heal, reducing anxiety and other side effects.

Cancer Research UK has provided helpful information on their website on the use of complementary therapy. It does not replace conventional medical treatment. But used alongside it, it may help you to feel better and cope better with your cancer and treatment.

Reiki is a type of energy healing and is a complementary therapy. It is sometimes used as a palliative or supportive therapy for people with cancer.

I have recently been accredited by the CNHC - Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council and am now listed on their approved register.

The CNHC is the UK's independent voluntary regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners, established with government support to protect the public. Its register is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care (PSA), an independent body accountable to Parliament. The General Medical Council (GMC) guidance confirms that doctors are able to refer patients to practitioners on a PSA-Accredited Register like the CNHC's. The Department of Health has also recommended that people seeking complementary therapies use a CNHC-registered practitioner.
