At MAM Care, inclusion, compassion and specialist support are at the heart of everything we do — and much of that vision is driven by our Co-Founder and Director, Rebecca Brunt.
Rebecca brings together experience from both educational settings and the world of complex care, giving her a unique understanding of the challenges faced by children with disabilities and the families who support them.
Through her work with children and young people, Rebecca has seen first-hand how easily children with additional needs can be excluded — not because they lack potential, but because the right support, understanding and opportunities are not always in place.
She understands that for many families, everyday experiences that other people take for granted can become difficult to access. School, activities, friendships, trips out, holidays and even basic routines can feel impossible without the right support around them.
This is what drives Rebecca’s passion for creating meaningful change.
Rebecca is committed to ensuring that children with complex medical needs, disabilities and SEND are not only cared for safely, but are also given every opportunity to thrive, participate and be included.
Her background in educational settings means she understands the importance of working closely with schools, teachers, SENCOs, therapists and families to create consistent, joined-up support. She knows that when education and care work together, children are far more likely to build confidence, achieve their goals and enjoy a better quality of life.
Rebecca has a particular passion for helping families navigate the often overwhelming systems surrounding SEND, specialist education and care provision. She recognises the emotional and practical pressures families face when trying to secure the right support for their child, and she is committed to ensuring that no family feels alone in that process.
At MAM Care, Rebecca helps shape a service that is built around:
• Understanding each child as an individual
• Creating support that works around the child and their family
• Promoting independence, confidence and inclusion
• Supporting children both at home and within educational settings
• Helping families access the services and opportunities they deserve
Rebecca is passionate about making sure care is not simply about meeting medical needs. For her, truly good care means helping children feel included, valued and able to enjoy the same opportunities as everyone else.
