Did you used to work in the coal mines? Your lung health matters 🫁

Primary Care Sheffield is encouraging former coal miners to book a free lung health check. Regular checks can help spot potential problems early and support better long term health.

If you, or someone you know, previously worked in the mines, please consider booking an appointment, especially if you have noticed symptoms such as breathlessness, a persistent cough or chest discomfort.

Too many women still die from preventable causes during pregnancy and childbirth.

Skilled care before, during, and after birth can save lives — and midwives are best placed to provide it.

📊 Achieving universal coverage of midwife-delivered interventions by 2035 could avert 67% of these deaths.
⚠️ But the world is short of one million midwives.

Urgent action is needed to grow, support, and sustain the global midwifery workforce.
