We completely understand that emergencies happen — that’s life. ❤️But when a session is missed or cancelled without at least an hour’s notice, it means the therapist scheduled for you doesn’t get paid for that time. Imagine turning up to work and not getting paid for an hour of your day.
We also run waiting lists, and every week around 2–3 people join hoping for an appointment. With a day’s notice, there’s a much better chance we can offer that slot to someone else — often someone who really needs it.
We’re self-employed, so last-minute cancellations or no-shows mean we’re left with empty time that could have been used helping another client. It impacts our income and honestly puts a bit of a downer on the day too.
We have our 24 hour cancellation policy for these reasons. It might seem a bit over the top for some but it’s our livelihoods and we’re trying to run a business here.
