Forge specialist rehab was so privileged to be able to sponsor this fantastic fundraiser yesterday for Pinder Dance Productions. It was an amazing evening with such talented performers, raising funds to support a not-for-profit dance school in Sheffield for children that would otherwise be unable to access dance classes. Megan also provides holiday clubs and arranges activities such as trips to the theatre which would never be a possibility without PDP.

I’m now a qualified in providing the escape pain management programme. Its a six week exercise based rehabilitation programme. There are two different courses, one for people struggling with osteoarthritis in their hips or knees and one for people struggling with back pain. The course will be held locally. They will be two sessions a week around an hour each. anyone interested get in touch or keep an eye out for further information

We delivered a fantastic moving and handling training session at a Sheffield school yesterday. Hopefully making them safer in the workplace and reducing the risk of any injuries in the future.
Employers have a legal duty to minimise risk to staff and service users and make sure their staff are fully trained. And remember moving and handling means pushing pulling carrying and lifting and it doesn’t just apply to moving people.

Happy New Year everyone We are really excited to announce our new moving and handling training service for 2022. We are now able to offer bespoke moving and handling training across South Yorkshire and North East Derbyshire (further afield on request). We can provide training in the location of your choice, to meet your moving and handling requirements. Offering initial training or annual updates for carers, teaching staff, load handlers and much more.
We are also really keen to set up training programmes for ‘informal carers’ e.g. parents of disabled children or young people, carers of older relatives with reduced mobility or people looking after family members after illness or injury. We are really aware that many people are just left to it with no training or advice putting both themselves and the person needing moving at risk. We would love to hear from anyone interested in this type of training.
