Availability at Whitham Road! Are you looking for a therapy space to rent? Are you just starting out in private practice or looking to offer more hours to clients?

If so, we have a little availability at our lovely therapy rooms in the heart of Broomhill:

- Tuesday half-day (8am - 1.20pm) - available from September (the room is spacious and has a large sofa and comfortable chair, so is perfect for work with individuals or couples)

- Friday full-day (8am - 8pm) or half day (8am - 1.20pm/ 2pm-8pm) - available from July, although a later start date can be negotiated (the room has a sofa and a comfortable chair, so is perfect for work with individuals or couples. The room is large enough for creative work and can be configured for small groups)

We offer affordable rents with utilities and wifi included. Please get in touch if you'd be interested to view the rooms and we'd be happy to show you around.

Hello! I have space for new counselling clients at the moment so, if you have been thinking about exploring therapy either for yourself as an individual, or for a relationship dynamic you are in, then please do get in touch. I have particular experience in working with themes of loss, grief, anxiety, life transition, identity, confidence and navigating complex relationships. It will include some lovely, guided meditations as well as time for discussion and questions. You will get a flavour of how mindfulness can help you to live a more peaceful and joyful life. A lovely group of therapists are now working from Whitham Road Therapy Rooms alongside myself and Jen Tomkinson. It's a real joy! We still have space available for more therapists to join us - including this beautiful space which is available on several days of the week ✨️

Do you work with small groups for counselling or supervision? If so, we have a room available to rent which is perfect for this sort of work. It's large enough to fit 5-6 people comfortably and also cosy enough for individual work. This room is currently available on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Please get in touch if you are interested in coming to see this space.

Meet the therapists based at Whitham Road Therapy Rooms:

First up is Polly Singer (she/her), who works with both individual clients and with partnered relationships (couples and other poly- dynamics). Polly works on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Friday afternoons from Whitham Road (and co-runs the therapy rooms with Jen Tomkinson).

Polly is an experienced counsellor (MBACP Accredited) with many areas of interest including working with loss, grief, life transitions, body awareness, identity and fostering emotionally healthy, attuned relationships.

Polly is co-founder of the Sheffield LGBTQIA+ Therapist Group and a long-term member of several other therapist meet-up groups and forums. Before beginning in private practice in 2017, Polly worked for Cruse Bereavement and designed and delivered training for several organisations. She has been a guest lecturer at The Academy: SPACE since 2018 and teaches on both the Foundation and Diploma courses.

Hello! We're Jen (they/them) and Polly (she/her) and we run Whitham Road Therapy rooms. We are experienced therapists and we work here for our own private practices as well as opening the space up for other therapists to use. We are striving to create a friendly, supportive community and to nurture a therapeutic space that is proudly LGBTQIA+ affirming for therapists and clients.

Just giving this a boost here! I trained at The Academy: Sheffield Psychotherapy & Counselling Education Ltd and found it a supportive, challenging, nourishing, rich environment to train in. I also guest teach on both the Foundation and Diploma courses! They have an online open evening coming up if you are interested in pursuing counselling training.

Some happy news! I am now based at Whitham Road Therapy Rooms in Broomhill, Sheffield. I will be running this practice alongside a fellow therapist, Jen Tomkinson. I'm thrilled about this new chapter of things. We're excited to welcome other therapists to work alongside us as we will be renting out these beautiful spaces too and striving to create a welcoming, supportive community.
